Default All I want to do is talk about COMC

I was looking for the cost options to send raw cards into COMC and couldn’t locate the info.

Anyone have a link to share or details of their pricing?

Thank you!

Do you have a COMC login? Just click the Start New Submission link on your Dashboard.

Not sure if COMC has addressed this. It might affect current submissions to PSA.

That's for cards sent to PSA from outside the U.S. All grading submissions are sent from COMC HQ in Washington to PSA, domestic.

Yep, I had a shipment to send home (Canada) and a couple of weeks ago the cost was about $140. I dragged my feet and went to request shipment a couple of days ago and it shot up to $266.48.

Looks to me that COMC is covering their bases because all of my outstanding PSA submissions on COMC have had about a month added to the estimate.

I'm ending the Week 8 sale early.
I think it will speed up selling off the rest if I just lower all card prices to .10-.20 cents.

How does the Tariff affect Comc purchase and shipment for those who are located in USA? I know that Comc has warehouse locations in USA and in Canada, so if the card is stored in Canada and I purchased it, will I be charged for the Tariff? If so, how do I tell whether the card is stored in USA or Canada before I purchase it?

Tariffs are taxes between countries. U.S. citizens won't be tariffed as COMC is a U.S. based company. Their shipping HQ is in Washington, all cards are stored there.

I'm still getting a white blank login page for COMC even after clearing my cache and cookies. Anyone else not able to get the login page to load after doing that?

***I was able to get the login page to load by opening the login page in a "Private" window. Whatever they changed in the code is not allowing me to open the login page in a regular browsing page even after clearing all my browsing history, cache, and cookies.

Having this issue on my phone but not on my PC, just a blank screen instead of the login page. The private/incognito window thing did work as well, weird.

Same on my tablet in chrome. Other browsers seem fine. It isn't flipping over to the oath authenticator to their azure portal. Won't bring up the login window.

COMC has warehouses in Washington state, USA and also has a warehouse in British Columbia, Canada.

People who live in Canada can submit cards to the COMC location in Canada.

If a card is in the Canadian warehouse, and you're in the USA, it will say "Remote Listing". If it doesn't say "Remote Listing", the card is in the USA.

If it does say "Remote Listing", the card might still be in the USA, but not in the warehouse. During COVID, there were restrictions on how many people could be in the warehouse at the same time, and so a lot of items were processed away from the warehouse and then brought into the warehouse later.

I saw something posted by COMC somewhere (probably Twitter) which indicated that they would be charging Canadian customers more for items which are transferred from the US to Canada, but I don't see it now so I don't know if they took it down or if I'm not looking hard enough.

I didn't see anything about US customers being charged extra for cards transferred from Canada to the USA. I'm not sure how many cards like that are actually on the site. It's unusual, but it's not zero.

Can the cards cross the border from one warehouse to the other without tariffs since they are owned by the same people. Maybe I am being really dumb on this.

Not sure how it is now but a year and half ago. I did a lot of trading, and I was receiving and sending a lot of cards to Canada. Most were small and in PWEs so no problem. I had several packages which I had to fill out a Custon forms. Stating what I was sending and how much they were worth. (Sports cards - $100). Most of them were under $25 but one was $100. The guy who got it ($100 package) had to pay another $25 import tax for it. Our next trade I just stated the $100 package was worth only worth $25 and he did not have to pay any more. I was also warned that if lost that amount ($25) on the form was the most they would pay if it was lost or damaged.
I do not know if they have to fill out a Custon Form to ship here none of my packages ever had one on them.

I sold through my whole port in about 2 months.
Here are the final results.

Port consisted of 3,555 items $13,757.54 total asking price
Week 1. 25% Off 61 items $173.82
Week 2. 35% Off 82 items $239.44
Week 3. 45% Off 176 items $582.01
Week 4. 55% Off 274 items. $801.15
Week 5. 65% Off 585 items $927.89
Week 6. 75% Off 434 items $573.88
Week 7. 85% Off 812 items $423.32
Week 8. 90% Off 419 items $88.57
Final Quicksale -- 712 items $156.64
---------------------------------------------
Total Sales For All 3,555 items $3,966.72
Approx 29% of asking price.

I highly doubt I would have gotten nearly 30 cents on the dollar selling
the port as a whole, so I would say this experiment was a success.

What would I do differently?
I would keep the 1st few levels of the sale to 1 week, but once items really started selling well, at the 45-55% range,
I would change each sale level to two weeks to give buyers more time to find the sales.

Not all situations are the same:
My situation may be different from yours.
I had not added much new inventory recently and hadn't went through
and lowered prices for many months so my port was kind of stale.

If you have any questions or comments I'd love to hear them.

Also, thanks to the many members here at Blowout who's names I recognized
as repeat buyers throughout the sale.
