I think Soto will be signed but I also think unless the Yankees get a better leadoff hitter they will both be walked a lot more.

They can pay him less per year for 15 years compared to Judge's 9 years.
So even if they paid him $500 mill for 15 years,

That is still less per year than Judge....

He’s not going to take less per year. Boras sees an opportunity to set a record with sotos contract and restore some of his credibility after a bad offseason for him last year. I bet sotos aav is $45MM+. I wouldn’t be shocked if someone paid $600MM for 12 years.

Does Soto agree to that like Ohtani?
Does Soto pull in the $$$ endorsement deals like Ohtani? I’m guessing the Dominican Republic doesn’t have the brands & wealth populous that Japan does.
