Mahomes would've had at least 2 more tds
if he didn't work part time 20 hrs/week at a sneaker store trying
to get discounts

If chalk holds, looks like it will be Chargers, Bills, then Titans. Pretty rough road. Bills matchup will look completely different with a healthy D line and linebacker group, and a much better running game. Hoping Vegas pulls out a nice miracle against the Chargers in a winner gets in game
I mean I had a feeling the Chiefs defensive streak was kind of overblown there.

They played:

Giants with Daniel Jones
Packers with Jordan Love at QB
Derek Carr twice
a hobbled Prescott
Broncos and Bridgewater
Washed up Steelers with Roethlisberger
Chargers and Herbert
Bengals and Burrow

Chargers should have won that game if Staley isn't an idiot IMO. Competent QB's have had relative ease with the Chiefs defense. It will murder subpar QB's like Bridgewater/etc, but competent ones can beat the press/blitz and kill them.

I really think the only team beating the Chiefs is themselves when they get sloppy.

I'm not ready to crown the Bengals, Chargers or Bills until they beat them in a meaningful playoff game, then we can talk.

They are projected to play the Chargers at home in the first game of the playoffs. Sorry, I don't see a Chargers win at Arrowhead.

Edit: now of course this doesn't count Andy Reid being Andy Reid, who everyone called a genius when they won the superbowl and a horrible coach when they lose. I always thought he wasn't a good coach.

He does have well documented coaching lapses but he's gotten to three Super Bowls with two different teams containing plenty of mercurial players and off-field problems. I don't think there's a perfect coach in all phases of the game but there's plenty of teams who'd line up to nab him. I think the Chiefs will be fine with a net average defense as long as that offense keeps humming along.

What happened with the Chiefs offense in the second half though. 5 legit drives in the first half(their last one with seconds left I'm not counting), 4 were touchdowns.
Agree w all this.......so frustrating to look unbeatable in the 1h and then Andy remembers who he is and forgets to crush someone.........

Yeah, maybe I'm being a little hard on him.

conservative play calling, Patty off on throws? Drops?

It was a tale of two halves: In like lions, out like lambs.
Reid happened, he does this every freaking time with a big lead.
He goes into an offensive shell, instead of letting patty be patty.

Surprised nobody mentioned the loss or Lucas Niang for the season. Hopefully Orlando Brown comes back soon & nobody else on the O-line goes down, as this could sink the Chief's chances of another SB run faster than bad play calling or officiating...

Got my first Mahomes 1 of 1 today. Sadly my scanner doesn't do this card any justice:

So frustrating that they can’t keep these offensive lineman healthy in January/February. Hopefully Brown will come back soon. Any word on when Kyle Long and Mike Remmers can play? I know they activated Kyle long and late November, but haven’t seen them play and believe Mike Remmers is still on IR. I know we have OT Prince Tega Wanogho, who we signed last year, but hasn’t been activated

Thuney did a hell of a job under the circumstances

Obviously frustrated we lost the game, but thought Patty looked sharp. If the receivers can just do their jobs and catch the damn ball, we will be fine. So many uncharacteristic drops this season by our studs…I don’t have high expectations for the Defense. If they can keep it under 30, we have a shot to win any game. Would also be great if we could get a competent ref crew, which we are more likely to get in the playoffs

Saw that Orlando Brown was practicing today (albeit in a limited way), which is good news

Didn't Kyle Long come out of retirement to sign with the Chiefs? Wonder why he hasn't played yet.

Main strategy was to move money out of Mahomes to safer avenues. Which has been a large Brady and large Lebron. However, I also realized a fair amount of cash to make a Jordan play or other life plays.

My main motive was honestly that a lot of my collection was bankrolled off being early on Mahomes. However, after about 1000 different moved I was still very Mahomes heavy and just wanted to make sure I made hay while the sun was shining.

I also just want to collect Pat vs having 6 figure investment in him. I recently vaulted my high end at PWCC and miss having cards in hand. My goal is to actually start having a players collection of him. However, I’m not sure how well I’ll do having a bunch of smaller pieces and not a high end card. I may pickup one Mahomes before the playoff run and see how things play out. I am a Chiefs fan first so if I was Mahomesless and they won the ship I’d be more than excited and could care less on the investment gain. I hope this doesn’t happen, but if they were to get bounced and a guy like Herbert, Burrow, Allen, etc steals all the spotlight I will look to make a high end play when things drop.

Did you move everything or just the one gold?

Ha. That guy is full of hot takes. It would probably be entertaining to go back to this thread when the Chiefs were 3-4 to read all of the comments from the people that came out of the woodwork and posted in this thread. I’m sure someone could dig up some real gems…

Recent mailday from PC Sportscards - expected the 7 on the Select (dent on the back) and was happy with the 9 on the Optic jersey card. First PM's I have gotten back in a while (sent these in well over a year ago).

^^^ Love the "RC" logo placement on the Mahomes' Select that year. Oh, and the 2016 XRC, too!
