I too use the app only for set building and PC searches so that I can more easily see what I already bought. I also wish they could build this out on the site.

I feel like any time there's a card I'd actually like to buy, there's ALWAYS a rough edge, obviously dinged corner, etc. I send thru requests for better scan or condition note, but probably less than 10% of the time do they make a correction.

^ agree

just a tip for people here

I sent 3 offers to a seller on a card. Final offer was about 25% less than sellers ask. They rejected all three offers outright. Now I can't offer again and the only way to get the card is by purchasing it which I probably won't do. So instead of being smart and countering my offers, they missed out on almost $1500 because they left a bad taste in my mouth.

I'm seeing more members letting offers expire vs rejecting them now days. I get very few counters. I have a handful of sellers that I prefer not to buy from but if they drop their prices into my range I will. I have even purchased from another sellers if the price is almost the same.

Now days my first offer is their Min. The second offer is my max. Then onto the next card.

Ouch, I take it this passed pre-grade? Makes me not feel so bad when I had one that passed pre-grade get an 8.

I get one who offers 50% off on one card every four days. Why every four days? because I let the offer sit for the full time instead of denying it immediately because they will just offer again in a day or two.

There is some cards I would accept 50% . But comc doesn't let you set Min accept by card unfortunately.

Ouch. But still an Ohtani rookie auto #'d to /69 (nice)!

lol

looks like minimum offer is 18k which is too high for a 6 imo

Really we are now knocking COMC because a low-grade card smells of COMC grading... Sheesh.

This item was consigned as is, and was not graded through COMC.

I'm not complaining or judging anyone, just what I have seen.

A lot of people paint with a big brush on forums. As we all do things a little differently which works for us and not another person.

Not sure why COMC does not allow a lot of thines that would help buyer/sellers and them.

This. Unless I'm mistaken, there's no way to do this. There are some cards I would take 50% offer on easily. There are some cards where the price is the price. But COMC does not allow any flexibility as far as this goes. But if I'm wrong, please tell me LOL

Why does COMC charge do much for shipping? I sent in some cards to their site thst I wanted to sell. Now changed my mind. So requested them back and for approx 200 cards, thst want over $50 in shipping costs!
usps shipping Durant cost that much! I get they have to charge to pull the order but $50+ seems ridiculous! (.25 cents a card is ridiculous in my opinion)

They have had that 25 cent shipping and handling fee on every card they've ever had, going back decades. It helps cover the humans doing the work of mailing things out. When you submitted the cards, you very likely clicked a button saying that you were aware of the charges if you wanted any card mailed back to you. If you didn't, it's in their terms and conditions.

They are the clearly advertised fees that you agreed to when you submitted your cards to them.

If anything, it is actually pretty cheap when you think about having someone pull 200 different items from many multiple locations in an extremely large warehouse. They aren't making much profit or could actually be losing a bit of money when you add up the overhead and labor costs involved to fulfill that request.

They are losing money on the actual shipping unless it is only a couple of cards.

Lol, here's where you went wrong. Why in the world would you send cards in only to send them back right away?

Thanks for your responses. Looking at it that way now makes sense to me. I just thought they had done kind of combined shipping costs. But it makes sense now. I think it’s just the sticker shock of $50 all at once.

The reason I sent them in and requesting some cards back is because I decided I’d like to re add most of these back to my PC as I didn’t do my homework and I thought they would sell for more but once uploaded I saw tons of sellers selling them for less than the processing fee(some sellers have cards listed at .20 -.30 cents!) my mistake! lesson learned as im still trying to learn our hobby.
