Im surprised there is this much of a surprise that Roman beat Braun clean. I figured that was the way it was going. Wonder what the reaction will be when a few months from now Roman beats Lesnar for the Universal Title. (Assuming thats the way they'll go with things)

The wrestling fan's answer is always "turn him heel!" but that doesn't always work. Look at Dolph Ziggler. He's even MORE lost now after turning heel than he was before it. Heel turns don't automatically overturn crappy booking.

I fully believe that Roman IS #2, however it's very easy for them to manipulate the numbers to show whatever narrative they want. Show up at a house show and see 8 different pieces of Roman merch at the booths and 5 pieces for the rest of the roster, and you understand why his numbers are as high as they are.

Should be interesting seeing Greenberg get booed out of the building

Will definitely be interesting to see the reaction Goldberg gets tonight. Poor Goldberg is about to walk into heavy boos for the first time he's been back I feel.

The one thing I'm not looking forward to tonight is the constant CM Punk chants from fans that can't just let him go.

I wouldn't be surprised he is #2. Look at all the different types of merch he has. probably a handful of different shirts, a handful of different accessories. What does guys like Cesaro and Zayn have in merch? One MAYBE two different shirts to choose from.

And I haven't been to a live event in a while but I wouldn't be surprised if they stock a ton of Roman stuff at these events and then there is only limited quantities of the other guys- the ones whose merch should be selling.

Kinda fitting that Roman is #2 right?

Every wrestler EVER has had a repertoire. Reigns does now and again pull out new moves like everyone does but for special matches.

What did Roman do? He helped Braun who is not the greatest look even better than he does by his great selling which is a huge part of any match.

No, women love Roman Reigns so there definitely wouldn't be any whining if that was the case.

For me I'm just sick of seeing Roman on top all the time. It's been almost 3 years of this where Vince is pushing Roman. Sure, guys like Owens, Balor, Rollins have held the title. But they were transitional guys. Rollins only held the title so that he could lose it to Reigns and feud with HHH before he got hurt. We all know Balor was just going to be a transition guy to Brock, even though I think Balor can be a Main Eventer. And Owens was a transition guy for Brock (Going to Goldberg, then going to Brock) so Reigns can beat him at Summerslam.

While we have seen different title holders and other people in the actual main events, everything seems and feels to evolve around what Vince wants to do with Roman.

i hate cena also... but i will give him props on putting together some great matches lately with AJ..... also the Cena US title run was very entertaining (and i'm NOT a cena guy at all)

He did a fine job.. I think plenty of us didn't mind the US title run because he wasn't the main champ at the time lol

To be fair, his Splash Mountain (Razor's Edge power bomb) is pretty sweet. That would make a better finisher than either the spear or superman punch

Merch is a horrible way to gauge popularity. Vince can and does decide who gets more shirts, etc. for sale. There are guys way over with only an item or two for sale. It's because the E doesn't want or allow guys to get more over than Vince's plan.

If you take two items, one quality, one a piece of crap, and only advirtise the crap non stop, of course it will sell more. The merch numbers are completely controlled and manipulated.

Guys, stop trolling yourselces. Wolves must be laughing hysterically as he replies. We all know Roman is for kids and women. His royalty checks from merch are huge. He is a good wrestler with awful mic skills. What Wolves won't admit is the booking is bad (which is not Roman's fault). We understand why Vince loves him and he's in favor. But the booking is bad.

Other than that one thing, mostly everyone and Wolves are saying the same thing about Roman
