I wasn’t too far off. I have Antwan Smith and some other middling semi star and I saw they both went for over $400.

The show today is from 10-4. I'm sure a bunch of dealers bailed yesterday, especially if they are going to the National. On top of that, the weather is supposed to be ugly starting in the early afternoon. Normally I drive past Savannah, Georgia (around halfway home) after the show, but if the weather is nasty, I might only go about 150 miles to Florence, South Carolina. That will leave a long drive tomorrow when I expect to be wiped out. The problem is that there is not much between Florence and a town about 30 miles from the Georgia border, so I would have to about 130 miles once I push on. I never stopped. I drove all the way home. Got in a bit before 1, leaving Raleigh about 2:30. I ran into a bit of rain on I-95 about 40 miles from the South Carolina border, which was not bad. Then I ran into some nasty thunderstorms approaching the Florida border. Those lasted about 40 miles. From there on, there were a couple of patches of light rain. My eyes were drying out the last couple of hours. Aside from that, I felt fine. I'm sure I'm going to feel it tomorrow.

I came home with 55-60 unopened boxes (wax, rack and cello), about 35 loose rack packs (1989 Donruss (mostly) and Fleer and 1991 Topps), about a full cello box worth of 1987 Topps Cellos, about 100 low-end loose packs and about 45 low-end blasters. This does not include the 7 or 8 boxes of singles. My car was almost completely stuffed. I was a buying fool this weekend. It is going to take me at least a couple of weeks to sort through the boxes of singles.
