Hey guys,

Havent been posting in this thread but I have always been following it and it actually got me into thrifting and is my new hobby!

Unfortunately I got a new job and dont have as much time as I used to. I have a few bins full of stuff that I never got around to listing and I am still picking up things here and there.

Listing items is just a hassle to me and I keep falling behind on some old items and becoming a little overwhelming and I kinda want a fresh start of sorts.

Would anyone like to work out a deal? For me to either send you the items and sell on consignment or just outright purchase them.

I am not looking for a lot of money. Maybe just my investment and a few bucks. There will be money to be made. Just dont have the energy and time to list everything.

I am going through everything I have now and will get some pictures. Just wanted to see if there was any interest with this. Please send me a PM if you may be interested. I just have too much stuff piling up and dont have the time or energy anymore.

Thanks and have a good one!

Just tallied up my monthly totals as September was the first full month I did this:

Number of Sales: 24
Total Sales: $424.80
Cost of Goods: -$68.56
Shipping: -$75.25
Ebay/Paypal Fees: -$61.59

Total Profit: $219.40

All in all was a decent month of sales and building inventory. I even have another 30 or so items to list this weekend. This is definitely a learning experience.

This thread has inspired me to go out thrifting this weekend. Have you guys ever walked into a store and had it already be picked clean or is there such an influx of goods there is always stuff to buy?

Also, I notice most of the stuff posted is for men. Anyone try their luck at womens stuff? I know women that go crazy for name brand stuff on ebay.

Any other tips for a first timer are appreciated.

Thanks

Definitely been in a store that has been picked already. Most places like Goodwill keep a good flow of merchandise going though.

As for women's items, I've had a hard time selling any due to sizing issues. Men are a lot easier to pick out a size LOL! Women need to know every measurement to the 16th of an inch....just my experience!

Good tips. I get what you're saying about women and sizes.

There is almost always something in the stores even those that have been picked clean. We have one that gives you 15 articles of clothing a week and I have gotten some nice Pendleton's, IZOD and RL stuff there even after it has been picked over.

I have never really tried women's clothing due to the issues noted That said Tru religion and Miss Me jeans should never be passed up if the price is right.

Well guys I decided to open a store myself, for the saving of fees etc. Have about 50 items to list today or tomorrow and might need some help with them. Specifically found a Nat Nast new with tags "Chasing the Horizon" dress shirt that I believe should be worth a fair amount. I'm not really sure because it's my first Nat Nast item. Also found what looks to be a vintage pair of Oklahoma nike pants, and around 20 tommy bahama, Ralph Lauren, nike, and Brooks Brothers shirts at my local thrift store on the 50% day.

I see it from time to time, but its usually overpriced and not worth messing with.

had something similar that I picked up and sold. I couldn't find any information as what it was exactly. Something I like to do is find a colorway for a country's flag to put in there. For this one I put Ireland. For yours it could be Ethiopia, Eritrea, Mauritius and/or Montenegro. Eritrea and Montenegro have either a different blue or the flag doesn't really fit a colorway (Montenegro is mostly red) I'd put Nike Swoosh Golf (whatever type) Hat Ethiopia / Mauritius Colorway.

I use this wiki page. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of...or_combination

I found this thing

Nintendo 64 Control Deck Console NUS 001 Untested w 2 Controllers Powers On | eBay

Back in July junking I picked up for $2 bucks. Sold it very quickly knowing I was leaving a lot on the bone for $30. If I find any more I will let you know.

This weeks been another good one junking for me. Full disclosure, haven't factored in fees etc just listing experiences and sold prices

301338163327 Jaws Unleashed (Sony PlayStation 2, 2006) COMPLETE! - Found this for a quarter last weekend, sold it for $8.99

301328405417 Men's IZOD Perform Waterproof Fleece Lined Red Golf Jacket Size Large L - I bought this two months ago for a dollar and kept dropping the price until someone bit on it. Sold for 19.99

291258299489 Fuzion Frenzy [Platinum Hits] (Xbox, 2004) COMPLETE! - Found this for a quarter last weekend, sold already for $6.99. I screwed up this listing and planned to start an auction at that price. Someone noticed and hit it quick

291234795991 LEVI'S STRAUSS 505 regular fit denim jeans mens- 34 X 32 34x32 - Found for a dollar a month ago, finally sold it for $21.99

291253877547 Levi's 504 low slouch skinny stretch denim jeans size 3 M Jr - This is the second time I sold these. This time the buyer paid. Bough for a buck and sold for $20.99

291248058960 MARTIAL ARTS KARATE TAE KWON DO SPARRING GEAR - CHEST HEAD HAND FOOT MACHO ADULT - Found this junking a couple weeks ago and picked it all up for 5 bucks. Sold for $40

301329409792 Broncos VHS Lot 1994 Team Video + Official Superbowl Video + 1994 SI Thunder - Good lesson to learn from. I bought these tapes in May thinking the Broncos were hot and they would sell. NO. Never again will I waste time buying VHS tapes. Outside of some rare WWF wrestling tapes people don't buy them. Bought for $5, sold for $12.50

Last week I sold 12 items for $209.95, this week I've sold 9 items for $288.95. Currently have 291 items listed for sale with 36 of them at auction. Funny thing about that. I ran out of my free listings for September for Fixed Price so I decided to list my newest items at auction with starting prices what I would like them to be as Fixed prices. Got some people watching those auctions now so might work out better I did that. One shirt I bought for a dollar is already at 16.99. Fingers crossed some others sell.

Everything in my junking was not good this week. I ended up being duped on a fake basketball jersey. Lost $30 thinking I had found something nice. I was wrong. The sales make up for that of course but still thought I would mention it. You have to be careful out there.

Old VHS horror movies and fitness videos can sell well. I have also done well in the past with hunting videos as well, but I can easily get them around here in the 25 to 50 cent range all day long.

Just finished up my stuff to go to the post office. So far I've done $350 in sales with nothing over $30. This is more than I sold in January, my first month doing this. If I can keep this up, I'll demolish my previous monthly sales record. Here is to a good 4th quarter.

Is anybody still having trouble with the site? I have been trying off and on for a week to get a bunch of stuff listed, and am having no luck. I've tried different browsers and still can't get it to work right.
