Yes. PSA 10 86-87-88 Fleer Jordan’s have about as strong a chance to continue growing as anything. The 88 AS is one of those cards that combines the all-time iconic image with low pop on 10’s (and 9’s for that matter)—then factor in the growing demand now and over time.

I’m not a pop report guy when it comes to whether you should buy a card, but it can be useful in price comps/projecting ceilings. There are only 352 120 10’s right now. There are 200 ‘87 #59 PSA 10’s. That’s a very similar looking comp when you think of what the ‘87 in a 10 is selling for.

You may also still be able to snag the 88 sticker in a 9...only 233 9’s. But if these 2 cards catch up with the ‘87...

it sure seems to me for the #59 psa 9 AND the #57 psa 8's

enough COLLECTORS, maybe ??? have said, "hey, I'm cashing
out my chips" (i.e. selling)

both cards #59 psa 9 (6k-9k), and #57 psa 8 (20k-30k), while not
"life-changing money", certainly IS "situation-changing" money.

i.e. medical bill, car, college fund, etc.

clearly, supply is, at least, meeting demand.

and as I, and others have said, the "better" ones are still commanding
premiums within those two examples.

I can't wait for Goldin Auctions MJ's to end tomorrow. I haven't looked at the PSA 9's, but that PSA 10 is solid in my amateur opinion. We will see if things are still trending up, staying level, or tapering off a bit. I hope there are new records for the 9's and the 10, because that is always fun.

In a note not related at all to MJ, the early PSA graded cards of Willie Mays (and other stars of that era) are going up like crazy. I hadn't checked out the prices in a while, except for his RC, and I was truly shocked at what everything is going for. I never bought a 1954 Topps Hank Aaron or 1953 Topps Mickey Mantle, both of which I really wanted, and now I can't force myself to pay what they go for. Oh well.

me, too !!!

that being said, I have a very good and decent feeling that the folks with
F' u money have not gotten the

"fleer mj rookies are "cooling", "memo".

LOL.

This seems about right.

Help me figure out why we’re supposed to assume ALL high grade early Fleer Jordan’s are exploding in value except one of the most difficult to find in a 9 or higher? That one’s value is supposed to drop by 50%? I guess it could happen...but why do only #59 PSA 9’s specifically project to fall so much when there are less than 2500 TOTAL graded PSA 9’s and 10’s combined? Did someone sell theirs, maybe?!?!

Just look at what's happening and how many are listed for auction coming up soon.

The ones listed $8500 OBO are not selling.

You'll see.

Ok but I’m looking for the “why.” Old flips? Borderline 8/9’s? People love every single early Fleer Jordan and just hate 59!? The vastly over-printed 1990 Fleer 10’s are knocking on the door of 4-figures. Doesn’t make sense why only his short printed 2nd year card would fall so much.

10s vs 9s you can't compare what's going on in the market.

Supply has met demand. People have moved on to other stuff. People don't hate the 59, it's a great card.

But it was like a $300 card for the longest time, they jumped to $1000 last year....and now it's 7K...

What are people’s thoughts on this card? Real or fake? If real what is the value given the terrible condition? I found it at an estate sale and am meeting up today. Any opinions would be helpful. Thanks fellas.

You serious with those pics?

Well, my initial impression is fake.. colors look too bold/off. The side blues look more on the purple side.

Unfortunately yes, that’s all I have so far. I’m meeting up to see it in person in a few hours. I will update it then. I was hoping one of you pros would have a better idea than a rookie like myself. I appreciate you taking a look.

I agree—the colors look off. I’d lean heavily on “fake” if in doubt.

Not even looking at it closely, it's too centered to be real. I've never seen a Jordan 1986 fleer centered 50/50 top to bottom, left to right on both the front and back.

Not enough contrast on the Fleer arrow. Should be definitively darker gold (nearly orangish) compared the yellow 'Premier' banner

Hard to tell with the dirt/smudging on the case, but it looks like the 'ghost in the aisle' isnt present either.

Alright, thanks everyone. I am still going to meet up to see it in person and will make sure to post more pics. I was thinking it was probably a reprint, but its always worth doing due diligence. Thanks again.

There is no red bleed at the top left fleer logo on the back. There doesn’t appear to be any difference in color on the top front front fleer arrow. While all colored look much too bright the blues in the crowd stand out. The R circle under the nba symbol is printed too high up into the pink background. The dirt wear on the back looks artificially added and inconsistent with the rest of the card condition.

If one of these issues is present it’s fake. All of them.... why waste your time? Meet at a safe public place if you go. You’re getting scammed.

He is an old dude in his 70's. It was just in a picture of a bunch of stuff from an estate sale and I reached out to him about it. He doesn't know anything about it and is bringing it to my office. So, it's more like I am trying to scam myself

The new REA auction opened today. They have the first 6 Fleer Jordan cards in PSA 10 plus 2 other Jordan RCs. They always bring strong prices so it should give a good picture of where the market really is.

The PSA 8 #57 seems pretty nice. Good centering l/r, a little shift towards the top. Should give us a good idea of where a "nice" 8 is currently at.
