I find it interesting that so many people are talking about the availability of boxes on public releases today, but we can rewind this thread to every single release and see actual posts about lack of availability of boxes from public releases (not counting the last couple after a flood of releases). Interesting for sure.

If anyone is passing, I have an old friend from high school and her 10 year old son loves baseball cards as I found out this past year. I would love to get him the membership if you would renew with their address and my payment.

Looking back through the thread for the F1 release, consider yourself lucky. Lots of people complaining. I know I was unable to get a box and lots of comments confirming it was a pain to get if they were successful.

I don't see the value of multiple MC memberships. 1 MC membership TOPS I can maybe understand.
There is no public release of the Montgomery Club complete sets. I believe the 2019 and 2020 sets alone cover the cost of membership those years. The rest is all gravy.

Happy to renew. The exclusive Wanders are worth the price of admission.

Topps got rid of the Topps Now loophole for free shipping so I wouldn't assume the 10% coupon code hack will always work.

Lol the 2021 sets I can't even sell for $75. I haven't even had a single offer for $50. There were way less sets, way better classes, and way less still sealed for 2019 and 2020. The 2022 MC membership sets there could be possibly 5 times as many as there were for 2019 or 2020.

So when do we expect them to release them to the public?

#1 I never said anything about 2021 sets. Not sure what you are talking about. Also those sets just released and have flooded the market. How many 2019 sets are available?

#2 Its pretty widely known that the 2021 rookie class is a let down at this point in time. It's also pretty widely known the 2022 class is very much anticipated...do you think the 2022 set would be closer to the class of '21 or '19-'20?

BUT all 2022 MC sets will have Wander, maybe Witt, likely more. The value is unquestionable.

I'm renewing but I don't think $400-$500 plus tax for a new membership is a slam dunk.

For every in demand product it looks like they will be limiting it to 1 per account for MC.

They raised a ton of prices this year so odds are all the higher value ones will see another increased price for 2022.

There is still a chance of a soccer club. If there is a soccer club then no way is the baseball club worth $500 for a new membership. One of the two big baseball boxes, Bowman Sapphire, was by far the easiest in demand product to get from Topps this year during the public release. Most people either won the raffle or got through manual orders. Besides for Bowman Draft Sapphire and Bowman Sapphire every single baseball box was easy to get and available for hours during the public sale.

I know that no matter what the product is if there is too much printed no one wants it. See Hoops Premium being worth a fraction of Hoops. See 19-20 Chronicles basketball being worth like 10% of 18-19 Chronicles.

Ah here is your end game. YOU are renewing but you want to dissuade new members from joining to keep the numbers down.

Got it.

Yeah no one get a new membership, the price is really high and bad and stuff please avoid.

Forgot, we pump or dump here.

No longer a member and to my knowledge, I have not missed anything on the public releases (that I wanted) and bought all the sets from last year (sans #5) for about $140

Floodgates are going to be open, there probably isn't going to be much scarcity here, I question the value

The value for something you won't receive for a year is "unquestionable"? So nothing bad can happen to baseball or those players over the next year. Got it.

One just sold for $75. The one before that for $87.50 shipped. Maybe you are doing something wrong. Complaining about selling the sets during the worst time to sell the set is not a true indicator of value. The market is flooded and the season is over. Some rookie or two will get hot in spring and the value will draw buyers. Or you could take your time and piece it out and make much more. Don't just keep complaining about things not selling. That solves nothing.

Lol you actually overpaid! I think I sold my 4 sets for $10 each and I can't even get $75 for the complete set.

No matter what I say at some point tomorrow the membership will sell out. Hell, even crappy Topps Sapphire sold out at $300 a box. Whatever Topps has as the set amount of memberships there will be next year even if every single member of this forum says they aren't renewing or buying a new membership.

All the MC sets, including the smaller ones, are guaranteed going to have his cards. And because he'll be in the other releases such as Sapphire those will likely sell in a heartbeat on MC and instantly on public releases.

Sure, something bad could happen. Could. It also can go the other way and he's the second coming. The value is unquestionable in that he will drive prices whether he's 10 WAR or 5 WAR. And the rest of the RC class should be strong enough to contribute soundly.

Even so, go back and look. Most people got locked out of most public releases. You have to have more available free time than the average person here to be available (and successful) and every single drop. And once more, even if it was that easy, if Wander starts out hot competition is going to start heating up from products with PSA on the verge of reopening. A lot of variables helped you this year. That may not be the case moving forward. Definitely will not be for everyone, because you are the only one I have heard say that have gotten something at every public release they wanted. I do this for a living now so I am available when the drops happen, and I haven't had 100% success with public ones. The average person definitely isn't going to.

I think you need to post this a few more times so everyone knows you cannot sell your set for $75.

Ok, thats a fair and valid point.

Then what is the point of your complaining about value?

No earlier than tomorrow. Wondering if Topps does have a fixed amount of memberships they want to sell. If they do, depending on how many renewals there are, then that will determine how many NEW memberships would be available.
