Personally, the Jordan Inside/Outside is my favorite from that group. Always loved that set.

^^^ I vaguely remember that name. Nice pickup. He's got a pretty solid signature.

I got a few packages in the mail today. Pretty happy with the prices I got on all this stuff. The Fred Jones was the most expensive at $15.

EDIT: replaced with proper scans

I think I got lucky especially with the crazy rise in prices with Melo/Dwade refractors over the last 3-5 weeks. This one was sitting at $20 bin with a misspelled title lol I think I got lucky finding it.

what the hell man, why don't we see more of this stuff on the boards? this is an amazing card, every body is concerned with super low numbered, GU/RPA/FLAWLESS MEGA PATCH and prospecting in rookies

If a card is worth less than $20, there's a large segment of the audience here that doesn't care about it.

Yeah, the one that I saw was at $49.99 OBO, which is quite high, in my opinion.

Well, at least I know I won't get sniped by you again on the other...or will I?

I agree abra, it's a great looking card.

No worries there. I don't go after doubles, so if you see another of the Silver Screen Autos out there you don't have to worry about me. The Genregraphs auto or the Cinematic autos pop up at auction and I'm aiming for them for sure. They both look awesome. I won't be chasing any of the parallels though, so they're all yours if you want them.

LOVE the patch on that Fred Jones up there- and enjoy the national duron! I'm loosely planning on going next year in Chi-town.

In any event, here are my recent poverty pickups- all three fit the bill

The old school is the 00-01 Fleer Showcase legacy collection /50. Had a BIN of $24.99 which I wasn't gonna do, but I had almost $10 in ebay bucks that was gonna expire anyways. The elite auto is /49 and was a whopping $2.25+shipping and the noir auto was courtesy of a breaker on here for just $15 delivered. Looks very classy in hand. Still need to get a Luxe auto of his but I'm on the lookout!

I probably should've taken doublex's advice and went on day 1 instead of Saturday, was pretty disappointed with the (lack of) 90s stuff at the show. I planned to bring home at least 1 mid-high end card in addition to whatever I found in bargain bins, but cards in that range were VERY overpriced. If it was behind a showcase, it was guaranteed to be double the going rate, if not triple. Yes, TRIPLE in many cases. I couldn't even find any deals on 90s wax, which was going to be my backup plan in the event I couldn't find a reasonably priced single.

I think the MJ minted in springfield was my favorite find for 50 cents. All in all I spent more money on show tickets and parking than cards. Found 95% of these in either 50 cent or dollar bins, total is right around the poverty threshold of $35 give or take a couple bucks. The only ones over were the Duncan kickstarter and mystique red /2500 at $2 each.

The RC's of Camby, Varejao, Prince, Joe Johnson /750, 97 finest checklist, Stockton topps stars and Starks finest moments are each refractors. You can probably tell which others are. The only card I was really unfamiliar with was the 2000 SP Kobe Special Forces, what a sharp looking card in hand. It has this minimal, dulled refractor look to it.

Here's some of the ridiculously overpriced MJ's I came across. Just to give you an idea, the guy was asking $700 for the Series 2 Triumvirate Members Only.

I should've taken more pics of the floor itself, there was a ton of tables and ground to cover but wasn't crowded by any means. All in all we had a great time though, I remember at one point she lost me for almost an hour when I got sucked into a seller's 6-table bargain bin wormhole. At that point I knew I had to make my "assistant" useful and have her ask all the tables I couldn't get to yet if they had any 90s boxes No dice.

Looks like you had fun, Duron. Too bad though that there aren't more 90s card deals to be had at the National. Hopefully some year they decide to hold it somewhere I can attend. Florida would be nice.

There was a new vendor at my local show today. By my good fortune, he had 6 4,000 count boxe of basketball cards (mostly 90s) at 50 cents apiece. I dove in for two hours and didn't even get through half. I spent every bit of the $35 I had in my pocket with this guy. It was incredible--such a blast to go through. Can't wait to buy more from this seller!

Some of the best stuff I pulled:

In this era where most boxes have all the Jordan stuff picked clean, it was refreshing to find some Jordan cards well worth the 50 cents:

That Phi Beta Jordan is really nice. This guy had Vintage '61 for days--I could easily go back and drop a few hundred more dollars on stuff I had to pass up this time.

In the spirit of the Olympics, check these out:

First time I've seen these Fleer Team USA special issues in person and they're awesome. Gonna pick these up whenever I get the chance. The Sparkly gold Richmond for $0.50 might have been the best value on the day.

Some more beautiful cards for great prices

Anybody know anything about this Shaq magnet card? Can't find anything on it.

Last but not least, some more typical 50 cent box fare but stuff I was all very happy to add to the collection. There's still ~20-30 more not shown.

myck I'm glad I already have that Mitch gold sparkle or I'd be hunting you down for it! So many variations of those cards they're hard to track down, although Mitch's are somewhat more common, thankfully. Nice pickups!

^ sweet beam teams, and I've always thought the stardate 2000 set was a ridiculous looking set for their odds. Looks like we pretty similar taste

I have the Pippen fleer usa lenticular card, but honestly don't remember where I pulled it from, were they just in regular packs of that year's Fleer?
