He's already more of a hall of famer than Todd Helton

I know the Yanks fans value championships, no question, but Judge buyers/collectors/“investors” etc. extend to more than just true Yankee fans. Of course the pinstripe army would bolster his popularity in a massive way if he did help lead the Yankees to a championship, but his hobby value won’t be solely dependent on the Yankee faithful.

Also, peak Judge > peak Mattingly. No offense to Mattingly, who was a fantastic player, but he didn’t hit 62 homers. Mattingly was a super consistent hitter, but he didn’t make you stop whatever you were doing to watch him hit.

He's going to be this generation's guy at all the old timer days for decades to come hopefully.

People should appreciate what they have with Judge. It's not normal to be on pace for 10 WAR and 60 HRs at any point during any season, let alone halfway through.

What are the odds that any of the guys people are investing in on these boards have a season anywhere near as good as Judge's best? Only a couple guys not named Shohei Ohtani even have a chance.

Given the positional adj boost he gets from playing CF, if he keeps this up he will be getting close to Bonds single season war totals.

Look at how much Pujols parallels have exploded in recent years. That's going to be Judge with a Seager or Harper-like postseason or in a couple years if he keeps making them all rise.

Mail day! Another Judge "investment" card!

Would this be a PSA 5?

Just watched Judge on the Yes Network and he said he told Boone he wants to be back in the lineup tomorrow but it was up to him. They also asked him what he thought about the pitch that hit him and he said he was pissed but he knew they liked to pitch up and in and it was what it was but that yeah he was pissed in the moment. He said he tried hitting in the cage between innings but he just wasn't able to come back out so they sent him for x-rays as a precaution.

Virtually zero. Well said.

Bobby Witt Jr has a chance to go 40/40.

truer words have never been spoken - this is the hobby though - hype sells - good players don't

Judge is off to a amazing start, but the season is so long and filled with nicks and bruises that make great players look average. In 06 Pujols could have had a monster season the same way Judge looks to have. He played 143 games ended up with 119 runs, 177 hits, 33 2B, 1 3B, 49 HR’s, 137 RBI’s .331/.431/.671/1.102. He missed 15 consecutive games with a injury, had a period of 16 games where he looked like he was playing injured from July to early Aug. Cabrera was the same way in 2013, after playing 123 games out of 131 : 94 Runs, 170 Hits, 25 2B, 1 3B, 43 HR’s, 130 RBI’s, .359/.450/.688/1.137, then Cabrera looked like he needed a walker to reach first base and only hit 1 home run in his last 25 games.

Let’s hope playing through this pain doesn’t badly diminish Judges performance. I have a hard time seeing him not struggling for a period of time.
