Not sure, but I'm pretty certain some of the stuff could go down even IF Sho/Dodgers win rings. Stuff rarely just doubles+ and holds like that.

Heritage Red Ink 9.5 went for $21.6K
Goodwin Kanji Auto went for $63.0K

Red ink sold for less than half in spring. Kanji in that grade was hovering 20-30 as well.

Is it possible for the high end market to go up forever? Or at some point will the high end market crash? At this point I think I am never going to own a RC auto.

Outside of a devastating injury, failing a drug test, or some insanely out of character PR disaster - Ohtani RC auto's are not going down in value anytime soon.

Ohtani is going to be the MJ of baseball. Hold on to the rare stuff.

This 2017 Judge Finest auto PSA 10 I just got back is a nice card, but I don’t collect Judge so I’m looking to trade it for an Ohtani(rookie only)

Been a couple of 2K+ sales but the last one auctioned at like $1400. I have it valued somewhere in the $1500-$1800 range at the moment.

Taking suggestions of which Ohtani card I should try to trade it for, I have a few in mind but would like to hear from yall.

Agreed. My perspective is as time goes on, the rare numbered stuff will be continually stashed away and will be harder and harder to come across as the months and years go on. Sure, if he wins a ring and breaks records people will capitalize and sell to make a profit, and there's risks in anything, but I think putting money into Ohtani cards is one of the "safest" bets out there.

If I would've put the money I put into Vladdy, Bellinger, Bohm, and every other "hype" prospect into Ohtani, I'd be sitting much prettier lol.

Feels like the clearly authentic RC autos haven’t really moved that much since last year…are these just kinda overlooked? I realize part of it might be that they don’t sell that often and they don’t have a traditional card feel with no back side of the card…but they look pretty nice and they have the 2018 topps chrome design. What am I missing?

Right now, Ohtani is the only current MLB player I'm willing to spend more than $20 on for a single card.

I'm also in the same boat with regards to blowing way too much on prospects in the past. Hindsight is 20/20 though, all we can do is change our strategy moving forward and learn from our mistakes.

I have a single Clearly Authentic auto (vladdy rookie) and quite frankly, they don't look that great in hand. They also grade terribly.

How do people know when this happens? I would think looking for the same exact card relisted would be the only way you could tell?
