I love it when I offer slightly above vcp average for a mid grade 60's card ($33 for a $30 vcp) and it gets rejected without a counter. Card is listed @ $50.

It could be the user has set a max discount in their settings which automatically rejects any offer below the set threshold. You aren’t ever going to get a counteroffer in those cases as everything is automated.

Decent sales for me this week. Probably helps I had hundreds of cards posted during the sale.

I will have my best prices of the year for Cyber Monday. Hundreds of freshly posted cards, mostly basketball. Have at it, flippers!

To get the shipping credit do you have to ship before the promotional sales ends tomorrow?

The blog post states "The $5.99 shipment credit will automatically be applied to one shipment request you make from November 25 through December 2." So, I would assume the answer is yes.

I requested a shipment today because I don't know if I'll have time to organize one tomorrow. The estimated date is January 8, with about 510,000 items ahead of it.

Last year, I submitted a shipping request on the Sunday of the sale and there wasn't nearly that many items ahead. I guess no sense in rushing at this point, since no shipment will arrive before the New Year.

Why? If they aren't grading comics through CGC but are grading cards through CGC, why would they grade comics through PSA?

Because they'd lose money when shipping oversized items in the mail.
They charged $1 per oversize item, graded card, comic, etc. They also charge $1 shipping per card that has been submitted as Elite, which I don't really understand. Someone paid $2 to get the card scanned in high-res but why does that mean you also have to pay $1 to ship it?

Also, COMC keeps deciding cards that have been listed for years are suddenly too risque. The latest victim was a Beavis & Butthead card. I feel like soon you'll only be able to list cards of women if they are wearing burkas.

Cyber Monday I just bumped another 5% off to 35 percent off overall....and put some bigger stuff at 40% off, so some super steals going on now. This is a true sale, nothing has been changed. Sold double in the last 48 hours at 30 off, than the whole rest of the week combined when at 20 off, which was still decent.

Also, looking to buy so post what you have for today.

I've always wondered the thought process behind sellers who have a Black Friday sale but don't have a separate sale for Cyber Monday. Do they not notice it? Forget? Is it intentional? I'm sure it's some combination of these, but always interesting to see if some sellers keep the same percentage off or increase. I decided to go up another 5% to 30% off and I try to stay the lowest price for all of my items but I'm surprised more cards aren't selling since I have some attractive flips available. Hopefully sales pick up later today!

Started the black Friday week doing 40% off and sold a lot. Middle of the week moved it to 45% and sold a good amount and then on black Friday through yesterday was doing 50% off and sold quite a bit. For that week I sold around $3700.

For today I decided to do 60% off and have already sold around $550.

So all in all it's been pretty decent.

Anyone else noticing a change in the economy shipping price toggling between rushed and economy? When I request a shipment it defaults to rushed and shows economy for $1.50. When I select economy the price jumps to $5.50.

Had a couple decent days during the Black Friday week... I don't have too much out there at the moment, but I bumped up my sale to 40% off for Cyber Monday!

I submit a lot of corrections because tons of my stuff on there is the first example of the item listed by COMC. Could be any number of things -- title typos, card number or serial number corrections, condition, set description corrections, whatever. After COMC applies the correction, there is no consistency as to whether the item stays listed for sale or whether it gets pulled back for repricing. Some employees pull cards down for repricing, and others don't.

And yes, there's at least one processor who is very conservative when it comes to identifying sexual content. When corrections are made, sometimes stuff gets pulled down for what the COMC employee deems sexual content... even if it's an image with no nudity that broadcast on network TV (*grumble grumble*).

Also, people can filter watch lists by on sale. I usually check mine every day or two to see if a card I'm eyeballing was discounted. It's easier to notice with the sale note versus just a lower price. There's a token $1.00 fee plus 1% except when they run a promo like this week. They've also previously ran a spring sale promo.

This is the best week to take advantage of a sale. No cost and by far the most eyes on the site than at any other time of year. Monday could be exceptional. We shall see.
Appreciate the info! Will have to give it a try.

Had a submission delivered to COMC on Friday (the 22nd) that is not logged in yet. They must be behind a bit on processing new submissions.

And I have two submissions due in December that have no cards processed yet. Typically over half of the cards would have been processed by now. So, don't expect any cards to be processed until closer to the deadline date.
Mine was just logged today that was delivered 11/22.

Weaker than expected on prices so far this morning, plus a few items I've been watching are not even on sale today. I'll keep poking around before I request my shipment (that will take a while). From a selling side, sales are modest for me so today despite the biggest discount I offer all year.

I'm at 85% off on my portfolio for anything that's been on there for more than a month. 40% off everything that I've recently had uploaded there.

Looking to get as much sold as possible!

I figured I'd beat the rush and get my shipping request in. When I waited until Tuesday morning last year there were over 700k ahead of me. I'll get the cash out request in later today but don't think that's as big of a deal. Happy on the sales end and likely some last minute rush buyers to come. I have 70% off and still have several thousand $1-$10 cards available. No strong complaints on the buying end but not as many as expected.

Tracking: Not Shipped Yet
Date Requested: 12/2/2024
Estimated Ship Date: 1/9/2025
Items Ahead of My Order: 540,215
