First I agree Tom Brady is the GOAT.

Second, I have literally watched every single one of Tom Brady's games over the past 20 years living in New England. I know how extremely lucky I am being a Patriots fan and how he is one of the most clutch athletes ever to play a sport. However, if you think that he was just fantastic week in and week out for the past 20 years you are mistaken. He also has gone through several rough patches during his career and was smart enough to take less money so that the team would have a defense literally every season. So even before the days of him putting up 4000+ yards and 35+ TDs every year, his defense was there to help.

Shoot they were ready to replace him with Jimmy G a few years ago after they started 2-2 and he was not looking good. I also don't think the Chiefs defense will be able to turn things around this year. I'm not saying he is Tom Brady, but every single great QB including Tom Brady, has had "tougher" than usual years.

As a Vikings fan and a Chiefs fan I want the Vikes to blow up their roster and the Chiefs to somehow land Thielen in a trade.

So many nervous collectors. I truly hope people don't get too badly burned.

I think Mahomes has a small window which is closing rapidly. His cap hit is $7.5 million this year and the team is failing. How good do you think they will be when his cap hit is $60 million??

I also see a player and a team that is just too cute at times, such as that direct snap to Kelce with his behind-the-back shuffle to Mahomes. Get back to basics, fellas.

No, you don't. It's obvious from your trolling that you hope they do get burned. Luckily almost everyone that has been in this thread for a while has already done very well with Mahomes and couldn't get burned now even if his cards went to zero.

Edit - Lol. Just got to work and saw the post and logged in to respond. As soon as I responded his post disappeared and I realized he was already blocked. Good job me.

Never take a win in this league for granted. Ask the Chargers and Bengals.

I see some signs of life on defense. Need to get the offense out of it's own heads and back to being what they were in the first five weeks.

Theres not going to be some single "Get Right" game that turns the thing around. It's a process.

Do the Chiefs not have draft picks during this time? It's not like when Kelce and Hill leave then they just have no WR or TE anymore. Obviously the Chiefs will have to shift the focus to find young (cheap) talented playmakers over the next few years.

Even with the offense struggling, there were still some encouraging signs. For long stretches they effectively attacked the cover 2 with sweeps, short passes, good between-the-tackles running from Gore. It wasn't perfect but its progress. This ugly win may prove to have been more of a get right game than it appeared.

The above is far, far easier said than done. I mean, it’s a great plan and all but other teams get draft picks too.

Sure but it's much harder to hit on a QB.

That's because they are not really collectors. More like flippers and speculators.

I would be worried more about your 98.7% ebay feedback. Yikes.

LOL. I'll take that deflection as admitting you're someone who got into sports cards at the absolute peak (March 2021) and is now the owner of many cards that are unfortunately worth significantly less so you take it out on trolling people who actually made money in the same hobby.

Sorry for your loss.

At what point does Mahomes get written off? Serious question. All it took for collectors to write off Russell Wilson was throwing an interception at the goal line. Even though he had the Patriots on the ropes throwing 2tds and almost completing a third. Even after Belichick called him the best qb in football. Even after winning 100 games faster than anyone. My point is Mahomes play has been so sloppy. His mechanics are atrocious. He’s got a better OLine than Wilson has ever had. Yet Wilson continues to produce at the high level. Wilson in his entire 10 year career has never had a 8 game stretch as bad as Mahomes. My point is all the biggest auction houses keep promoting Mahomes to be the best qb to ever the play the game. Yet he hasn’t accomplished anything more than guys like Wilson,Rodgers and Brees. If anything he’s try to do what they’ve already done. I just don’t get how this guy gets so much rope. If this was anyone other than the hobby darling he would have been written off weeks ago? Is there something bigger going on? Is the market manipulated? Did the influencers and social media drive such a craziness about Mahomes he’s untouchable? Something just seems off if I’m being completely honest.

Past 2 weeks of bad performance....

He was 1st in the NFL in TDs and 2nd in QBR before the Titans game 9 days ago. Quit being a victim of the moment.

Victim of the moment? Are you serious? Show me anywhere besides my Instagram where Wilson gets any hobby love. For Christ sake it took Panni 2 years to get his damn rookie redemptions filled. Yet Mahomes can shovel the ball off to Tyrekk for an extra 100 yards a game to pad the stats. The fact that he leads the league in touchdowns doesn’t mean Sh!t. He’s got easily the fastest wr in football. He’s been absolutely terrible this year. That’s a fact!

He would have to play horrible for the rest of the year.

And even then he wouldn't be written off because a lot of big time collectors have big money in him.

Cool story. For a Wilson thread.

Way to name players 7 to 15 years older than Mahomes. We went through this already pages ago. 3 AFC championship in a row in your early 20s. That’s not a fluke and a D Ford off sides to potentially 2 SB victories. I forgot an MVP and SB MVP. It’s called a ceiling and Mahomes hasn’t hit it yet. Is it really that hard to fathom??

What else is Rodgers really going to accomplish in the hobby? And Is Seattle a true threat to get to even the NFC champion game yearly? I would say. No way, not at all with the Rams and with Kyler ballin out. They won’t even be favorites to win their own division for a long while. Duh.

Ohhh... I'm not arguing Wilson...

The hobby doesn't give a good damn about him. Neither do MVP voters.
