He isn’t putting any weight on his left leg, just gave out on his first step out of the box.

100%. They'll probably just swap spots on the IL this year.

Seems most likely, Cabrera will probably get more playing time than expected.

Yeah, Berti made the decision easy for Boone.

Probably better than the winter when we will be cursing cheap Hal for letting Soto get away.

Recap from last night:

Juan Soto returns to San Diego and hits 1 of the Yankees' 4 homers in an 8-0 win vs. the Padres

https://www.espn.com/mlb/recap/_/gameId/401569237

Still 3 games up on the Orioles.

This is how much this offense is improved this year. They were almost bottom of the pack in every offensive category last year. This year:

3rd in Runs, 3rd in batting average, 1st in OBP, 1st in Slugging.

The pitching is outstanding too:

1at in ERA, 3rd in WHIP, 1st in BAA.

Volpe's 17 game hit streak now ties him with Derek Jeter, Hal Chase, and Joe DiMaggio for the Yankees longest hitting streaks age 23 and under. The record is 22 by DiMaggio.

Here's a wild trade idea, although it's just an idea that I'm sure would get zero traction in real life. Since the Blue Jays are shopping Bo Bichette, the Yankees trade them Torres and a minor leaguer or two and the Yankees move Bichette to 2nd base. They'd have a much better contact guy in the lineup than Torres.

It's a more sensible trade than the one article I just read about crappy Vladdy Jr. going to the Yankees.

Jasson Dominguez went 2-5 for Somerset last night, but is hitting a dismal .154 right now.

I picked up about 50 Luis Gil cards the other day when he was pitching.

Wasn’t expecting any help from the White Sox but at least the Cardinals swept the Orioles this week.
