I think there are a lot of people who believe this. It's very, very easy to plant a box with the winner scratchoff, and then give the winner scratchoff the winning box /5. It can be staged. It would completely destroy the credibility of the repackager in the future, but it can be argued that the credibility is already quite damaged at this point. |

There are alot of people here failing in statistics. If you have 1 card worth 50,000 do you know how many boxes need to be near 1,000 or less just to bring the average back down to 2,700 a box and even with that you know he is making money so the boxes will have even less value. There were probably 10-20 solid cards outside of the bryant super that made up this price point.
Since I have time I will do some of the math for you all. Ill take an sample of 30 boxes that include the bryant with an average of 1,000 return. That means $80,000 / 30 boxes is 2,666 per box roughly the sale point as of now. This also does not include any other costs associated with the production so the average box would be less in terms of return. So in 30 boxes you have 1 winner and 29 losers. I have no dog in this fight outside of 1 $30 spot in Houdini's break that I figured why not.
I've been keeping up with this thread since it first started and it seemed time and time again whenever anyone wanted to call out ML/PR on his product or past products he was here almost immediately defending himself and promoting his new product. Now these last couple days have gone by with so much backlash and there have been no posts outside of like one I saw saying to hang onto your scracthers that were losers. I understand the day of and the day after release even just kind of staying away to recoup and relax, but it's telling (for me at least) that he isn't on here defending his product now after it's been opened.

knowing that Brian Gray at Leaf gets so many angry emails/messages about break values of his products, I can only imagine that ML/PR is getting much of the same

Oy vey. This product is exactly as described. EXACTLY. I would never buy a repack product personally just because it doesn't sound fun to me. But to those of you who did, you got exactly what you bought into!
Average % ROI looks higher than most wax. Plus a gambler's chance at the most hyped card of the last few years. Plus nice packaging, good customer service, and a complete checklist. As far as the conspiracy theories go... Think of the massive amount of money and time Will invested in this... Does it really sound all like an elaborate ruse to repurchase the Bryant super? Hmm. No wax has close to a 100% average ROI. If it did, the price would go up. You always pay a tax for the fun / thrill / risk of opening wax.

The people mostly complaining have not been involved in it,
If you bought a case to open for yourself, it is most likely money you could afford to lose.. I'm not hearing anyone saying, Damn, I just spent 5 months of mortgage payments, how will I pay for my mortgage now? It a high risk gamble! Everyone knew it... Maybe next time, Will or any other repackager can buy the $1000 cards he wants to put in a product for $100, You can sell your cards to him for 10% of what they would sell for and he can sell it to buyers at a lower price to get everyone ROI much higher! its funny because all we tried to do was warn people and give our opinion but we were trolls. yet we are still here and the OP is gone. he got his money to bail out the money he blew on his cases and then some. i expect he rides off in the sunset cash in hand, end of prospect rush/

When I'm 85, I hope my house is paid for too.

^^ Not sure why they stayed out of the thread, but it looks like you lost at least $1k on it. Maybe people are getting tired of seeing crappy breaks already and just dont care at this point?

sorry to quote the whole thing. So a Bryant was the 10th hit? Isn't that card right there close to $700-$900 on it's own? Shouldn't that be #1? The Seager is at least $250-$300 and the Schwarber around $150 and going up. That was just one box for the $2700 correct, and close to 1/2 of the price made back on 3 cards (if using my higher numbers).

Now some of the other breaks are piss poor, but PR said there would be basically a min. of $500 of value on the boxes, that amount is being delivered.

Remember, I took a rough estimate of the ROI and suggested there was $460,000 in value across 300 boxes. That's about $1,550 per box in expected value, including the Bryants, so I think this box hits right there. The ones we've seen early have likely been under that, and I'm sure there are a few that will be over that.
