No, IT is forcing it by not shutting up. He's been putting out these "Book of Isaiah" pieces every couple of months. The theme to each one? How much he hates Danny Ainge for trading him. It was fine, the fans put up with it. Then he complains about the team and states that in retrospect he wouldn't have played in the playoffs last year. It was a mistake playing those games. The fans accept it. THEN he comes back to Boston, the fans and team want to thank him, but he says no, I want you to do it on the night that you are retiring #34. It's embarrassing. He needs to shut up and move on.

99% of the fan base had nothing but love for him until he pulled the video tribute move. The team owes him nothing. They paid him his salary, made him a starter, and then traded him to a top contender. The fans owe him nothing. They did nothing but pump up his ego, cheer and support him, and raise his popularity. If he never made the video tribute demand he would have been remembered as a true gamer who put his all into his time in Boston.

He was a very good player for 2 years in Boston. He also got the chance to be on a team with a coach that made him into a legit starter in this league. Win/win for both sides. He's not a legend. Stay in your lane little guy.

You're obviously looking at it from the angle you want to. Thomas put Boston back on the map, played his heart out, played when he shouldn't have, then got screwed by the organization he thought had his back. Yeah he went to Cleveland, but it would still feel like a stab in the back. Also, IT said he wanted to be playing and have his family there the night they show the video. The celtics organization obviously didn't see any malice or disrespect with the request as they granted it.

Correct, I am viewing it through my perspective. The perspective that I am looking at it from is that both IT and the Celtics benefitted equally from his 2 years in Boston. He put Boston on the map and Boston put him on the map. It was an equally beneficial relationship. Now he’s with LeBron and has a shot at being the #2 guy on a championship contender heading into free agency and Boston has Kyrie. Great deal for both teams. Ship up and move on.

For him to continue his pissing and moaning is beyond unbecoming of him. He was traded over the summer. If he wanted his family to be there for his return to Boston he could have simply bought them some plane tickets for 1/3/18. Simple as that.

I truly hope he doesn’t get his stupid video tribute. The whole concept use to be nice as fans got a chance to thank former players. Now the players are expecting it and demanding when we say thanks? Imagine opening a gift on Christmas and your grandmother stopping you from saying thank you? In stead she puts her hand up, blocks the hug and says I’ll take the hug in a month when I come back with my sister and her kids so they can see that you actually love me.

Go pound sand little guy.

P.S. I’m not nearly as emotional about this as it probably seems. I’m just enjoying the back and forth here, but I do think IT is being a putz.

Good call on Dellavedova. He’s up there for sure. I don’t hate Oubre simply because I just think he’s too dumb to know better. Draymond is an a** but I feel like the league needs guys like him. Kobe I’ve always had a love/hate relationship with. In the end I respect the crap out of Kobe the basketball player. Off the court? That’s a different story.

Only thing I get from IT making all of these comments is that he truly LOVED Boston. To care for a city and give your all to a team, just to be traded away would make me extremely furious.

Looking at social media, it looks as if Celtics fans already forgot about what he did in Boston. Makes the fans and organization look pretty pathetic IMO.

Social media probably has forgotten what he did. Most of the fans on social media are what we in Boston refer to as pink hate fans. They’re just into the current trend, and the current trend in Boston is Kyrie/ Tatum. As for the real fans who follow the game you have to remember that this is an organization that has been around since 1946, has 17 championships, and has seen the likes of Red Auerbach, Bill Russell, Bob Cousey, Tommy Heinsohn, John Havlicek, Larry Bird, Kevin McHale, Paul Pierce, etc. The one very good and one great season that IT had here is a flash in the pan. Trust me the fan base wants to love him and wants to thank him. He needs to shut up and accept the praise. It will be given. A little humility goes a long way.

Celtics haters are so pathetic. They will try to twist anything to suit them and their jealousy.

I'll never forget when he charged at Olynyk during the playoffs last year

Yeah the reasons I don't like Kobe are off court as well. I also forgot a couple, Andrew Bogut and Spencer Hawes
