Pretty funny that SF succeeds in dumping Deebo (a guy they'd have cut) onto Washington,
and SF declines to take a guy Washington was about to cut (DT Allen, cut today),
and SF gains a pick in the deal. Great move by 49ers.

This pretty much shows us why some franchises will be mediocre, and some will be contenders.

...Allen will be one of the better FAs for his position (with Milton Williams probably), but that's not saying much this year.
The funniest part is that he'd likely have re-signed with Commanders - until he saw how they overpaid Deebo and probably then wanted more.

I have read some tidbits about Seattle being interested in Tyler Shough.
It's clear they are drafting a QB, guess time will tell

The Wild Card trade at the QB position (if it happens)that will really shake up the draft and free agency forecasts, will be if the Cardinals send Kyler Murray to the Steelers

I don't think anyone will trade a 1st for Metcalf. Second? Maybe.

I think a late 2nd or 3rd is fair ( prob get a late rd pick in return if 2nd). DK is a top 10 talent among WRs...

He's a good final piece for a contender team that needs WR help (LAR, SF, LAC, GB, Buff, maybe Atlanta or TB, etc). He adds a good weapon who opens up run game well. Think if the Eagles could've won SB without AJ Brown?? Answer is doubtful imo.

Metcalf will be a disaster if he went to a team with a young QB (like DJ Moore did), though.

Eagles wouldve won the SB with 48 years old Randy Moss. That's how bad chiefs were

My offer to Seattle a 3rd round 2025 pick and a 2026 cond 6 round pick.

2026 pick can move to a 5th if Metcalf gets either 1000 yard or 10 TDs. Can move to a 4th round pick if he hits both.

Being reported that Darnold will not be re-sign with the Vikings.
So who needs a QB? Steelers, Titans, Browns, Jets, Seahawks? Doubt he ever walks back to the Jest after they let him go. Doubt Seattle lets go one one average QB, and then brings another one in for more money.

By the way, Geno Smith is seeking a 'Mega Contract' with the Raiders, LOL. Guy is meh, never gonna win anything big. Looks like the Raiders are content not to win any championships.

Wow Metcalf may remove trade request depending on who they get at QB. That tells you that he didn't want to play with Geno. Imagine if the Seahawks dealt him to Vegas, LOL

Reports were that Geno was trying to get a $45 mill/yr contract from Seattle, and that the Raiders may entertain that. What does that mean for Purdy then? He is surely to get $50 mill a yr seeing how the 49ers have dominated the Seahawks, and Geno was awful against the 49ers.

And again, I feel sorry for any Raiders fans. Ouch, being saddled with Geno for the next few yrs- yikes

Saints re working Derek Carr contract to keep him. Some organizations love not ever challenging for Super Bowl rings I guess

They are hosed on that Carr contract one way or another... dead cap whether they cut or traded him.
That was a terrible $150M/4yrs signing unless he suddenly became a top 5 QB, which he was never very close to on the Raiders.
They simply moved all money they wouldn't have lost regardless to next year (and they'll cut him and have some dead cap next year... zero chance they pay Carr $70M for 2026).

They may as well keep him and have good QB depth and camp competition for QB1 with Carr as the de facto starter, though. With a new coach, it's their best move where there is no great move.

JSN runs better routes. So it makes sense Geno prefers JSN. I don’t follow Seattle but I assume their Oline isn’t great if we aren’t seeing DK blow the top off defenses. Not sure how strong Geno’s arm is either.

I'm not daying DK is right or wrong. He just want more targets, that's why he requested the trade. He's also a diva which is like a basic requirement fo Wr1

Geno is a low end starter. Give credit for Seattle accepting that and knowing he was not worth paying top 10-15 money for him. Pere is a idiot who will overpay to have his guys on the team because he knows them and what they bring even if they are not worth what they get.

I didn't see Geno in Seattle past 2025 anyway. Does DK get traded now? We'll have to wait and see.

He probably will get traded. JSN is considered there #1 there now and after next year he could very well being going to the Seattle FO and saying hey I am the #1 here and let's get me paid as such. It's also likely they could extend him cheaper then what Metcalf is rumored to want for a 3rd contract at around $30 million a year.

Yes. And the Seahawks have apparently lowered their demand from a 1st and 3rd to a package focused around a 2nd round pick. So they are still delusional.

After two years he'll be demanding a trade because he's the only good player on offense and he no QB to get him the ball
