Probably just from traveling at speeds exceeding Topps packaging’s previously tested limits.

Have to wonder if these were 10 box cases or something else like 40 box cases. If 10 boxes, why do the extra work? Maybe have to get Fanatics employees trained on Topps shipping standards. Although I like the bubble wrap around each box.

Killer man! I think anytime you get a 1/1 it's pretty cool. Not a monster hit mind you, but, hey, this guy is chillin in the minors right now maybe he starts lifting weights and gets all jacked up like Juan Gonzalez then you'll be sitting pretty.

Did they do seal cases with sapphire ever before update?

Topps chrome 2018-19-20 sapphire was never a case but I haven’t paid attention to the last couple years.

There's a sealed 2019 TC Sapphire BB case on eBay (seller is a BO member too) right now.

Default 2022 Bowman Chrome Draft-Sapphire Edition Checklist

Sealed cases should never be expected unless they explicitly state it. Not sure how people can be upset about that…. Disappointed sure.

I thought cases were 20 back then. Guess not.

I got a sealed case of 40 during the Monty allocation back in 2019. Perfect collation, 1 complete set, 2 "case hit" type autos (Tatis base auto redemption, Eloy green auto).

Ah, the halcyon days of Sapphire at $50/box with a 40 box limit...

2019 was the first year they did bowman draft sapphire and print run was basically the exact same. Almost every other product has had substantial increases in print runs.

With all of the Chrome sets and parallel types, over the next 12-24 months, I have to think we are going to see more consolidation into collecting the traditional parallels. People already do this but Sapphire is not special. A regular refractor, whether it's in the bloated Draft print run or a /500 regular Bowman/Bowman Chrome set is simply better, and more rare.

Case sizes vary for product so sometimes 10 might be the number but often it’s 12z. High end can be 6. It all varies. You should never expect a sealed case unless it explicitly says with that being said if they allow you to order 10 nd a sealed case is 10. I doubt they’ll make more work for themselves like TCU sapphire.

That’s non bowman and to be fair 2016 and 2017 aren’t all that collectible with tough checklists. 2016 no autos I believe and 2017 is carried by Judge. 2018 is when sapphire really took off with the 4 autograph box and not a complete set design.

I am personally excited to see what happens with the print run on 2023 Bowman. Maybe that is the first release post-Fanatics where we really get a chance to see what direction Fanatics will go on print run? Doubt there was enough time for Fanatics to have any kind of impact on 2023 S1 print run or 2022 Draft Sapphire.

Busted my 10 boxes and I did ok. I think it was a solid break but deficient of any big pulls. Did well with color for the non-firsts. Was a shock at all of the pitcher 1sts in the product with pulling 10 of the 20 parallels of those. Did get 1 Holliday and 3 Green's so the collation was rough with 5 of some and none of others so don't expect a complete set from 10 boxes.

The First Holliday base goes for $40. Seems low. Ending an auction on a Friday afternoon seems like a bad move.
