I really wanted to spend money and rip some tennis -- it sucks. I'm willing to drop 2-4k on a case if they had at least a dozen young risers, but there's nothing but a struggling Gauff, Raducanu, maybe voleynets? -- and some retired HOFs that were already in the 2020 Transcendent set.

Like someone mentioned, at least it will keep the Netpro Alcaraz prices stable. I still need to get all those cards graded.

At what point does "The Hobby" put a different year on the product than the manufacturers do? Since this doesn't even correspond to a tennis season "2021" is totally wrong. The delayed Upper Deck NHL products at least "belong" to NHL seasons, this isn't licensed by any competitive body.

(The same conversation should happen with the recent Goodwin Champion releases too)

Very disappointing considering what could have been. But there's still enough in there that I'll be looking to bust some when prices come crashing down. My buy is probably sub-$100 for hobby.

I wouldn't pay close to that. Which is sad because I would have opened a ton of this if it didn't suck.

Assuming autos are similar every other box it should be somewhere between 2021 and 2022 F1 chrome prices for how badly it'll drop

If it's an auto per box, I'll pay $75-$100 for a few. I just want people to open this en masse and get singles into the market. Plenty of guys I'd love to pick up a nice parallel or auto of that should sell for very cheap. Bryan bros are probably my top targets. Would have been awesome had they done dual autos. Too bad they only got half of the Woodies.

I am a singles guy but I would buy one or two to rip for fun. Always gonna maintain that ripping is a huge gamble for any product but at the price point it is now, it's fine if you're just ripping a few. I just see this as whetting the appetite and hopefully in future years they'll get more players to sign on.

If they just sold this on their website, then that can possibly happen, but the store owners are the ones who have to not buy it to make that happen.

I doubt anyone buys much of this. I also doubt Fanatics learns anything from this. This product would be a tough rip at $60 for Hobby.

Store owners only buy because their customers buy. Obviously shops have to commit to buying whatever Fanatics is offering to preserve future releases. But if hobby wax becomes unprofitable for shops because the customers don’t make it profitable, then something has to give.

Fanatics doesn’t seem to want to learn. But this phase of the hobby will burn out at some point. Dozens of parallels, uninspired designs, and bad quality can only last so long.
