Google "lost mail" it'll be the first result.

To answer the original question and title of the thread: Yes!

I have around $2000 in purchases that haven't arrived and it's been weeks now on some. Also has altered my selling habits.

Its a shyyteshow right now....
So far in December....the majority of my items going to Cali have been deama.
At least 8/9 days minimum for over a month now. Had one package that had almost 10 scans at the same facility in Torrance, all of them about an hour apart. Then it sat there for 5 days....

From:
Shipping Label Created, USPS Awaiting Item on December 8

To:
Arrived at USPS Regional Destination Facility on December 16

The lack of scan / update when the package was accepted by USPS was concerning, but the tracking shows that it moved without the initial intake scan I'm used to seeing.

Continue to exercise patience. It's only one of the biggest cards I've bought this year.

I just had something similar....package sat in the post office in Pompano, FL for six days, then zoomed across the country in two days and was delivered an hour ago.

I got a notification from FedEx today that said they didn't deliver a package that they have *in hand*. And the reason given was that they would deliver it "when conditions improve."

Which I guess is a nice way of saying that I'll get my 2-year-old Panini redemption when they're damn good and ready.

It makes me wonder if they are cutting back on scanning to save time...I have had two of those in the last five to seven days.

I have 2 big packages that are supposed to be incoming - well ... really 1 BIG one, but another one is going to be a big bummer if it doesn't make it also. One was sent on 12/3 and the other on 12/7. I signed up for text alerts and used to get text alerts each day saying they were arriving late, but they stopped about 3 days ago :/ I'm holding my breath and crossing my fingers/toes!

I have a handful of cards I've shipped out that hasn't had any updates for about 7-8 days now. Meanwhile others I shipped in that same batch have made it either on time or close to it. Seems to be to rhyme or reason for anything.

Since its always doom and gloom in here, I thought I would give some joy. I had a 4 figure card sell at 5PM yesterday. Knowing that my mailman always comes by here around that same time, I immediately packaged up the card. Printed my EXPRESS label and handed to my guy at 5:30PM. The package went out for delivery in Houston, TX this morning at 11AM. Cost: $32.

I'm still waiting on a few cards I purchased from COMC through ebay before Thanksgiving. It COMC until December 9 to ship them (which I wasn't happy about to begin with). Last tracking upload was December 10th in Seattle with an expected arrival of December 14th. I've seen nothing since the 10th. I'm not in a hurry for the cards and figure I will give until next week before I submit and an Item not Received.

Anything leaving or going into the west coast seems to be delayed by 8-19 business days.

Priority Mail is a joke right now, sent (2) $400 cards to (2) separate addresses, 1 took 11 days, the other is just out in the USPS system, so far it's been 17 days, going to Southern Cali.

So if you're wondering should you pay extra for Priority Mail, DON'T --> SPEND THE EXTRA MONEY ON UPS OR FEDEX INSTEAD (it will still take an extra 1-2 days, but you'll get alerts and it'll show up within a week).

I'm waiting on 6 late packages from USPS: 3 I bought and 3 I sold. I pulled all cards down for sale under $300. Those will go UPS if sold.

To the original post: As a buyer, no, I don't really care. Every buyer situation is different, but I would hope most people buying can have patience and don't need a card right away.

As a seller, I would be more worried.

Ups is worse. They tell you it will be delivered today then it becomes tomorrow. I had that scenario happen for 2 weeks before I got my package. Plus it’s Christmas and UPS has many new hires including supervisors and delivery to keep up. They are bad during regular times. The grass is not always greener on the other side. Ups used to be top notch but the last 10 years or so they’ve gone down the tubes.

this is getting ridiculous.. I understand shipping delays, but seeing no movement for a week on many USPS packages is pretty bad. Priority and First Class

just randomly got 2 Neutral feedbacks on Ebay today because of some items taking 12 days to arrive..

People need to understand how to be Patient on Ebay, especially for items that aren't going up or down in value in those 12 days.. either way if they go up or down one should still consider USPS might take longer than usual
