This stuff is sold out everywhere. So based on that I'm making the smart decision to keep both of my master cases sealed.

Crazy how much this product has jumped.... Box prices are now approaching $200 online. One sealed box is already at $190 with more than 1 day left to go.

If you can get close to $200 a box, I say sell. As great as my case was, I think I would break even or make very little if I paid that price.
Goodwin box prices always used to decrease in price, up until last year. Now this year they more than double?

I agree. I did very well too (paid $84/box) but there will be a lot of work involved in making the same profit I could have made with a quick flip. That being said, I love Goodwin too much to have skipped out on opening. I've never hit a Lebron or Jordan auto in my life so this is the one chance every year to maybe have that happen. But I was certainly happy with what I did pull.

Remember this will hit EPack and prices will go down considerably
People will sell all mid-tier hits at half or less of what they are going for now

Exactly my feelings. $200 to $200+ a box is very possible.

Fortunately I paid much less than $84. Crazy to think but I could potentially make triple what I initially paid.

I have pulled Tiger Woods out of Goodwin, and already have a Jordan autograph from another product in my collection so that isn't a motivator for me. I just like Goodwin as a product. Enough so, that even with cases on their way, I purchased a few loose boxes from the LCS just to satisfy the itch of opening a new Goodwin release. And I'm glad I did, I pulled some nice case hits out of each one.

But right now it's simply a no-brainer to sit on unopened wax. But I had a feeling this sort of spike would occur with this product.

The combination of the strong checklist and pandemic have really created an increase of prices and piqued a lot of interest in sports cards lately, not just Goodwin Champions....

Once this hits e-packs, do you think the wax prices will hold up or could we see a pull back there? I'm still so surprised how this is sold out everywhere

I paid 109 for mine, but pretty sure I'll make my money back at least. There was another place that sold them for 85, but they were long gone.

I may be misunderstanding what’s happening but I just noticed some 50+ sketches from the 43 artists who are 1:640 and the 16 who are 1:1920. Do they all get one sketch each? If so doesn’t that mean most of the hobby boxes have been opened?

This stuff is off the charts awesome, my exquisite auto of R.J. Hampton was my fifth best hit. The other four were way better.

Looks like they are back in stock at one of the other sites for $120 a box.

Do we have a "complete" base set parallel list yet?

So far I know of the confirmed base, Turquoise, Minis, Wood Lumberjack Mini, Black Wood Lumberjack Mini /8, CMYK /1. But I've also seen these Black & White cards surface on eBay, and even some blank back minis. Is there a full list?

I think there is a lightning background parallel as well. I did not get one in my case though.

While e-pack will result in singles prices of mid-tier and lower-level hits dropping, that has nothing to do with sealed wax. Sealed wax doubled because it appears that this year a lot more big hits are being hit in physical boxes and there are a lot more autographs per case compared to previous years. I mean, it seems like there is one or more Exquisite autos per case, and those are mostly all big names. And averaging more than 1 auto per box, with multiple boxes per case having more than 1 auto, some even having 3. Haven't autos been more like 1 in every 2 boxes in the past?

I only got one auto total out of my 2 boxes. Are you sure it averages more than one auto a box?

I have been out for 2 years on this

But we bought cases 2011-2018

I think cost was like 58 bucks

But everything is 2-3 times cost now

Can’t believe people pay it. But they do

This is by far the sleeper product of the year. With essentially a minimum of one exquisite per case With all good to brilliant names, you are going to at a minimum make your money back on a case. What product can offer that these days?

LCS has 3 boxes left at $120 per box... Raised it from $110 on Friday....

Do I buy them and bust open, although they may be picked over.....or buy them and flip sealed box on eBay..
Or just leave them behind...

I paid 109 and felt it was worth it to open. I haven't sold anything yet, but I'm pretty sure I can at least break even if I want to. I have watched A LOT of breaks and there are tons and tons of boxes where the hits won't get you much.

So if you are doing it for fun yup. To make money? You're certainly rolling the dice. You may not get an auto and if you do the auto could be not worth much. For example I got a Joe Burrow relic and I'm pretty sure it will only go for 15-20 bucks as it's a base one. And the auto I pulled MAYBE 70 bucks. I'm watching the auctions to see where that one settles.

I have to hand it to UD. I was skeptical, but they put out a phenomenal product this year. Even though I still dislike the fact that they've quadrupled the print run since 2015 (I think I got like 21 autos in a case in 2015 vs 10 this year), they did a wonderful job with the Exquisite autos, unannounced variations, several of the auto subjects (Jalen Green, Manon Rheaume, Brendan Bayliss, Burrow/Morgan/Rapinoe, many others), and so on.

I'm going to be ahead on the first 5 boxes I opened... These are from a different case, so case hot could be gone already....I think opening with my daughter will be worth the risk... She's leaving for college in two weeks and offered to go halfsies with me on two boxes...lol

Random side-question: Has anyone here ever tried to build any of the animal patch sets? My younger son really liked the sea creature patches we pulled. I thought about trying to put one of those sets together from previous years (we both really love dogs, so perhaps either the 2017 or 2018 Canines set).

Guys one more question around the retail basketball inserts. I am thinking about going for a rainbow here and was just wondering can anyone confirm if this is the first Goodwin yaa eww at ever where it’s possible to go for a rainbow? Would you collectors even consider a complete one this year a true rainbow? They have a silver non numbered, blue /499 red /249 bronze /99, green /25, pink /10 purple /1 and a gold non numbered auto version
