I had him in Topps Home Run Challenge for this date. Since he hit 2 homers, shouldn't I get 2 prize cards?

I did not like Gleyber leading off last night. Having said that, I'm sure leading off is not what hurt him. I'm just a bit pissed right now because Gleyber was really getting into a groove. Hopefully it's nothing too serious. Dammit.

I don't mind it but I think he would be a much better 2-3 hitter.

picked up a PSA 9 Heritage Chrome Refractor yesterday for $32. If that was Acuna that's a $100 card in a PSA 9. Blows my mind that Gleyber is so cheap comparatively.

Sidenote: I’ve checked out 9s in the holder, cracked them out and gotten 10s. It doesn’t happen often but can be worth the gamble.

Same injury as after Boston series... Really do not want to see this guy go out at this time, but it isn't sounding too good if the same issue same up less than a week later...

If taking ten days off now, gets him back to 100% healthy for the long run they need to do it and send him to the IL. Don't let it linger and then with the way this year has gone, it'll flare up right before playoffs.

centering is the wild card on these. I actually tried to cross a 2018 Heritage Judge Refractor BGS 9.5 (with one 9 centering sub) and it didn't cross. cracked and subbed....10. centering was perfectly fine too. PSA is a lot easier on centering on these.

Thought I might try that. For no more than I paid it would be worth a shot. I've cracked many BGS cases but never a PSA...are the actual cases easier or harder than BGS to break open?

Psa cases are easier.

New pick ups for me. Topps Fire Bluechip is a Pop 2. Snagged the Ginter at a bargain price...although I can't seem to find a Ginter X or regular mini PSA 10 for the life of me, let alone at an affordable price. Holiday is an underrated cheaper knock off of the Series 2 SP and my first card with that image.

I appreciate your comment.

however historically, from all the cards I've subbed (heritage is HUGE when it comes to troublesome centering) and combined data from here when reviewing crossovers (including my own) its been widely agreed upon that PSA is a little more lenient on corners and especially centering whereas BGS is pretty picky on centering. I could go into detail and support my so called "one card theory" with other examples both of my own and others, but I will leave you with only one other of my examples of proof supporting my scientific method.

Please excuse the terrible BGS pic, its all I had prior to my crack and resub. Yes, my quasi-borderless Gold Refractor got a 8.5 centering subgrade (and triple 9.5's otherwise). I didn't really see anything wrong with it, especially when compared to the rest of my rainbow (see below it). however, PSA did deem its centering worthy of a 10.

ohhhhh and heres my PSA 10 2013 Judge Chrome

PSA is lenient on centering

If you are interested in adding this to your rainbow let me know. I am more of a Devers collector, but because of the similar path these two are on I am following and picking up both.
