Second wave of Immaculate- more cards/box?

I got 3 boxes this past weekend, and each box had more than the usual 6 cards - two had 7 cards and one had 8 cards! I thought I had a booklet in each of them.

I just noticed another break in the break section and it had 7 cards as well - anyone notice this trend over the past weekend if you busted any Immaculate?

Anyone pull more than 6 cards out of a box of immaculate in 2013? If not, what the heck is going on?

I do think a second wave has been released.

I pulled a Bosh jumbo patch auto/75 in my break, and I noticed that only one had sold on ebay since the product has been out.

This tells me that whatever big hits you've been waiting for are likely in this second wave of cases.

Kinda shady, but I guess that's the way it goes.....

Yes second wave some have redemptions autos that are live. Also more cross sport cards i think? Yea i don't like how they held back certain cards, i think its not good business when the way they pack things are not just random. I'm not talking about live autos of redemptions players in the first wave, but just certain cards or certain player like the isaiah thomas.

This isaiah thomas jumbo patch auto, this is the first i've ever seen even tho there's suppose to be 75 of them.

Norris cole was redemption the first wave.

Got a hockey one and baseball in the case i opened.

The Kobe logoman patch auto must be in this new wave of cases.

When you guys say second wave, do you think the product is stuff that has been held back by speculators?

I wouldn't think Panini just let go another round of this product and not displaying it on their blog.

From what I have seen every pack has a jumbo auto patch.

This is really weird. So for a collector that is after a certain player and decided to buy a box for the fun and chance to pull a PC card, it was completely pointless buying a case at launch.

Yes, very screwy. Upper Deck did it with the cup last year. You were pulling redemptions for certain players in the first wave, and then the live cards in the second wave.

You had no idea if that one chase card you were after was even going to be in the first run or not, so you may have been chasing for naught.

Paninigans, I tell you.

Also, a lot of the best hits were back-doored from the cup as well that year since not everything was packed out during the first run.
This is a shady industry.

Apparently, number of cards per pack and what cards you get AFTER you open them.

Otherwise, you and I can't tell cause the cases are identical. Panini knows because of the sticker barcode on the side of the cases.

Also, if your local shop all of a sudden has 4 cases of immaculate show up this week for no known reason, it is likely they are 2nd wave cases.

Is that good enough an answer?
