It looks like the twitter handle was added by someone after the card was produced. The slabbing means it was graded.

Ugh ... Mike. I had hoped for a better post than that. I guess we have our answer.

Sounds to me like he did it to show what BGS did and make the BIN high with no intention of selling it. Just listed it on Ebay to show the world.

An inscription is when a player is signing an auto on a card and either in place of or in addition to the auto they write something else. Can be a nickname, the school/team they're on, etc. Something else is written on the card, and they are popular with collectors because there are generally not that many of them.

The term "slab" is just in reference to getting the card sent in to a grading company to have it graded (in terms of quality). The better the grade the more value it carries. The use of the word slab just refers to the fact that it comes back in a plastic case with the grade(s) listed at the top of the case.

Don't want it don't buy it... Just because its listed at 200 doesn't mean I'll get it

It was pulled like that and I slabbed as an 8 to protect myself from people bitching

So basically you're admitting to being a d-bag, but its okay cause you didn't get it slabbed at the national?

False.

1. The ink is obviously different
2. Thats not Arcia's writing
3. You didn't scan it like the rest of your cards so the ink diff. wouldn't be as noticeable.

You're not fooling anyone dude.

Count me as another that is disappointed by this situation. It should have never been listed on EBay. His responses so far lack substance. I am sure he is busy right now, so I'd recommend waiting to respond rather than continuing.

No it wasn't Mike. You post on here enough where you would likely have started a thread about the card ... but you didn't.

Your first post in this thread would also have been something better than the defensive POS you wrote 10 minutes ago.

What in the world are/were you thinking?

I can tell you without a doubt one was signed with a sharpie and one a staedtler with the ink colors side by side. So whomever did it wasnt too smart.

The only other explanation is that this was an elaborate ruse by the OP to defame the seller in some sort of Arcia-auto turf war. Probably not.

This is odd, Mike has been great to deal with and all around stand up since I first met him

He has at times had thousands of dollars of my cards and gotten them to the people who bought them without issue

I know he has a table at the show with a LOT of high dollar stuff on it so I am sure he is very busy and responding from his phone

Not making excuses for or defending anyone, just saying I have a good hobby working relationship with him and I am confused by the whole situation and will be checking back to see what unfolds
