Default USPS cancels Saturday mail

Only packages on Saturday now -- effective August 2013.

This should be interesting.

No big deal just means bigger mail days through the week.

It is a big deal,suppose you have a package to be picked up and you can't get to the PO during the week.When will you be able to get it.

I agree. This is my catch all day when i don't want to stand in line for 30 minutes trying to pick up stuff after work.

I think they should cancel Wednesday delivery as well. They really could get by with a 4 day delivery week.

"The U.S. Postal Service will stop delivering mail on Saturdays, but will continue to deliver packages six days a week..."

[QUOTE=mikecala98;4193378]Another fallacy.[/QUOTE

How would it not? All mail that would have been delivered Saturday is now gonna pile on to Mondays delivery, making Monday have alot more mail. Just like working a day after a holiday, my route takes alot longer to deliver due to the added amount of mail.

The post office will be open Saturdays. Mail delivery won't exist on Saturdays.

I wonder if they could pull off an every other day delivery? Some areas get mail Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. Others get it Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday. Then you also have the Post Office open those six days so people could go in like normal to ship and pick things up. Wonder how people would feel about that?
