Got the out the door price way down thanks to all the buys backs and made me feel much better about opening. Traded 1500 in buy -backs that I was into for around 700. So I ended up out the door at 1400 for everything.. This to me is the only way to get these. Certainty makes them a much more palatable break. There was someone there who ripped 15 megas and nothing but a couple Cooper inserts. He had one auto and a advisory of kasparas. He wasnt one of the regulars and was hoping these at 100 bucks a piece. Regulars get much better pricing at the shop. I guess there are some advantages to buying a lot every year. Said he was chasing homerun. So there are plenty of bad rips out there. Watched some people get crushed on hanger box cases while some are completely loaded. The first 5 megas that I opened from the shop were trash. I should have left them sitting there. But I committed to buying them before I asked the guy how he was doing... oh well win some lose some. I was able to get a bunch of X-fractors to help me gwt close om the set. The sealed case was much better. Sent from my SM-S928U using Tapatalk |

Very hit or miss. If you go somewhere and buy 10 and they are good the likelihood the rest are good is high. Sent from my SM-S928U using Tapatalk |

54.99 per mega 34.99 per blaster 250 for hobby, and 475 for jumbo. This is just what they were paying. They didnt get the option to buy hangers. They bought those after the fact which is why the sell them at 35 each. Margins for these are about 30%. On the retail side. Obviously they are selling the hobbies and jumbos at secondary pricing. I wouod imagine these are the same numbers that MJ holdings and other distributors are paying. Lots of mouths to feed with distributors. And topps set the msrp. Topps also factors in the buy backs. That is why Topps chrome baseball megas are 40 bucks with an atrocious rookie class outside of a few guys. Another thing of note people keep saying Topps printed this to the moon and I get that. Yet prizm was printed non stop for several years.... need more prizm???? Change the format.. hobby, fast break, choice, international, plus all the retail sku's. Unfortunately its the same wolf just a different sheep's clothing. Sent from my SM-S928U using Tapatalk |

That re-up order though is at higher than initial release pricing. Pr they have to source things from other locals like BO/ D&A etc... So every shop i know in my area( there are half dozen) uses D&A or BO for their pricing. If those places are selling at a 200% mark-up so do the shops. My local guys used to employ a 30% margin. But local breakers would buy everything and wipe them out so they had to follow suit with the big boys.. Sent from my SM-S928U using Tapatalk Last edited by weatherwarrior; 12-31-2025 at 07:53 AM. |

So here's a reality check for those who think buying a ton of these is going to result in some guaranteed awesome hits. Breakdown from 32 Hangers from Topps
2 Flagg Base Rookies (One has significant corner damage, so throw that one out) 3 Flagg Base Inserts 1 Flagg Voices Refractor 2 Kon Knueppel Base Rookies 1 Dylan Harper Base Rookie 0 Cedric Coward Base Rookies 0 VJ Edgecombe Base Rookies 0 Shai Base Cards 1 Jokic Base Card (which is moot now, because of the injury) 0 Autos (Should get 2 per case I believe, but 32 didn't yield one) Parallels Regular Refractors-Best was a Cedric Coward, rest were crap Pulsar Refractors-Best was a Cedric Coward, next best was Will Richard and Steph. That's basically it there Numbered stuff 1 Magenta (/399)-Yves Messi 5 Purple Pulsar (/75)-Tim Hardaway Jr, Bobby Portis, Gary Trent, Rasheer Fleming RC, Will Richard RC 1 Purple Insert-Instinct Noa Essengue (/75) 1 Magenta Insert-Go Time Ja Morant (/399) Case Hits 2 Fanaticals (Ja Morant, Ace Bailey) And that's it. Maybe $250 worth of cards if I'm being generous. Sadly, based on comps the Will Richard Purple Pulsar is the 2nd best card of the break behind the Flagg Voices Refractor but I'm skeptical I'll get near those comps. So yeah, Hangers aren't anything special in my opinion. Just another format to get completely destroyed on. The hilarious thing is seeing the troll cards (I.E. Mavericks as the team but it's not Flagg, even in the last box as one last F You, the Purple Pulsar was a Horizontal Bucks card, which Giannis is, but I couldn't even hit that, it was Bobby Portis LOL) Last edited by Chris P; 12-31-2025 at 12:49 PM. |

And I'm like "thank you sir, may I have another" lol
I still have 8 Hangers from Fanatics coming in and another 4 from Target so expecting more disappointment. I will not be actively looking for these anymore though after this |

I'm surprised I don't see anybody talking about the terrible QC as well. The centering is terrible on most cards along with significant surface/corner issues on most of them.
