My job is community based at the moment so it depends on the day and who I have visits set up with. Starting in January, I will be going to my nannys 2 days a week. Its 45 minutes one way.

I should have put public transportation in as an option but maybe not many people here use it?

40-50 minutes each way depending on traffic/construction

Some of the roads I traveled the first few years of my commute have been under construction for about 4 years now.

Supposedly finishing up next year. Definitely might. But likely just means they’ll start a new project in that same area within the next year.

Road construction in the state of Indiana is absurd. Poo level IQs mixed with FT contractor efforts topped off with Wacky Factory mental health. Everything is constantly being “improved” but never actually gets finished.

Unions have to make the work last and extract more taxpayer money.

I'm a retired old fart, so my commute is less than a minute from any location in my house to another. Nowhere to be and all day to get there!!

20 mins in the Am straight down Valley View from Washington to Harmon
45 mins in the PM cause I pick up the boys from school in NLV

Not bad at all compared to some of you in big cities

The increase in non active work zones is demoralizing though, seemingly in every area part of town

Unions are a blight on society.

I don't think it'll ever make sense to me why someone would want to apply to employer that requires union membership. Like, at what point of "we have historically effed over our employees so grandiosely that said effed over employees had to organize with mobsters to negotiate on their behalf to get a safe and reasonable work environment"

Meanwhile, said union members will gladly stab their fellow union employee in the back anytime they want to bump someone with less seniority because evidently the only thing that matters to union labor is how long you've successfully avoided being fired

But sure, please take 5 years to rebuild one couple mile stretch of road when the entire interstate system took all of 10-15 years to build...

Full time WFH since March 2020. No indication we're going back anytime soon either

Commute was only 20 minutes before
