He’s always had a noodle arm, just had the best skill players around him.

His mediocre arm strength is a factor, but he was late on those throws -- he was known for throwing with a lot of anticipation. He should have thrown the balls earlier and to a spot the receiver could run to, not after the receiver got open. He doesn't have the arm strength to fire passes into tight windows downfield.

Your hate for Capricorns is so bizarre -- LeBron, Tatis Jr and Purdy; all Capricorns.

Oh, excuse me, I meant MeBron.

What a coincidence! I had no idea.

Good thing my wife isn’t a Capricorn.

A win's a win. Not the prettiest game, but the Niners are still in position to make the playoffs. CMAC and Kittle with good games, and Robert Saleh is still somehow coaching the depleted defense into being effective.

This will go down as one of the strangest seasons in Niners history if they end up making the playoffs. Heck, it would qualify as a moral victory even if they barely miss it, considering all the injuries to key players that they have sustained.

It's brutal thinking about how much of a missed opportunity the 2023 season was, but the full-team effort the Niners have had this season is something to be proud of.

No style points are awarded at the end of games, just wins or losses (or ties). Get enough wins, you get a ticket to the playoffs.

Getting healthy and getting the O, D, and special teams clicking at the same time can have a Wild Card team hoisting the Lombardi at the end of the year. That's why they play the games!

Honestly, I'm surprised they're 8-4. Purdy has to survive Miles then they get a much needed bye week.

They're 8-4 because of a soft schedule and some close (fluky) wins. They're 2-3 against teams >.500 and 6-1 against teams .500 and below.

Doesn't matter.

There's no asterisk next to a Super Bowl Champion's name saying:

*had a soft schedule that year; or

*opponents only had a .400 winning %

You play the games that are on your schedule.

Purdy did not do well at all last time in the dog pound and Myles is playing at another level. (Although Purdy got them into spot to kick game winning FG which he missed)

Still pickin SF to win, because come on, it's the Browns with Sanders.
If SF is smart, CMC and Robinson will have 40+ carries combined.
Take Myles out of the game and run the ball, play D and win ugly

Agree here, you can't control opponents. Do I think this is the strongest SF team I've seen? Of course not. But 8-4 is 8-4.

I'm nervous about the Browns. The D Line is... just depleted, but secondary is doing very well.

I think Saleh comes up with a good gameplan.

yeah has been quite shocking. Bosa had 2 sacks in the first 3 games before injured for the year and he's still tied for second most sacks for the season

How does it feel when your most expensive player is also your weak link? Defense looked good, Kittle looked good, CMC looked AMAZING, and wr corps look fine

I would not know. Purdy’s great.

Your guy was the one who just threw a game-killing interception.

Delta meltdown in 3… 2… 1…

It was raining that game and Purdy seemed to have problems gripping the ball due to his relatively small hands -- his passes were noticeably off target.

I was at the game

If Purdy can’t play through that weather?

Dude should be cut tomorrow

Excuses

No excuses -- just providing context. He was similarly inconsistent in a wet game against the Packers in the playoffs, but managed to lead his team to victory -- he made clutch plays in the 4th.

He’s also just not that good

If I was a Niners fan I’d want Mac Jones

But whatever floats your boat

If Purdy signed with the Browns tomorrow he’d be the best QB the Browns had since they were revived.

Lets take a few steps back and gather ourselves.

And we’d still win no games because he sucks

He isn’t good

It’s fine to admit. I can admit he’s better than Joe Flacco or whatever

With Purdy, The Browns make the AFC champ game this year.

I know it’s difficult to hear. But I’ll never lie to you.

I don't know if the Purdy hand size is just nonsense or not.

Burrow has smaller hands.
