I am a Griffey collector and love oddball one offs even if they are non licensed cards.

He definitely did save some interesting stuff. It's been fun going through it but the more I learn about it the more I have to double back and check for different things. For instance, I know I saw a bunch of the 1993 Topps Finest promos and I think some of them were refractors. But I may have put them in checked bulk sell boxes and who knows where they might have ended up. (I though the 1 of 5000 ones would have been rarer than the ones that didn't say that -- turns out it was the other way around!)

Got a cool one back from PSA today. Pulled this out of hobby box a bit ago and just got the grade today. I believe the wave refractors are a print run of 12. Instant PC!

Wow, I forgot about how low that print run is. That is an awesome card!

Once again, I love the Topps Tribute Relic cards and I'm a sucker for Griffey Mariners patches so had to get this

I made a thread in the marketplace, but thought you guys would be a better place to start.

I am looking for a 1997 Ultra Baseball Rules Griffey.

It is the last card I need to complete the set. They aren't rare (8 have sold on ebay in the last couple months), nor are they expensive, I'm just on a bit of a time crunch with this project.

Any help tracking one down would be appreciated (other than the 2 museum pieces on ebay at prices 7-10x the value of the card).

Since I have not been able to pull any of his auto cards, I'm going to try to buy it now.

Which card would be the best auto card to get meeting these criteria:
1. Depicts him as Mariners
2. Auto on the card (no sticker)
3. Playing year
4. Reasonable price under 1K

Thanks.

Best options that can be had for under $1k:
- 1999 SP Authentic Chirography
- 1999 SP Signature Edition
- 1999 UD Century Epic Signatures

I am very sorry to hear that. I don't know the man and never interacted with him, but yet I feel like I knew him, or at least shared some things with him. Prayers are with his family, and I hope they keep his treasures and appreciate them like he did.

May as well post a sample of my Griffey collection in his honor. Other than my dad, no one has seen these so this is as good of time and place as any, you know? Thanks for letting me share them.

(Scratches are on the case)

These balls were handed out at the All Star and signed by every Mariners player who was present, including Griffey, A-Rod, Randy Johnson, Edgar Martinez, Jay Buhner, Dan Wilson, and Joey Cora.

Bought them around 2011 and haven't been able to find any others like them for a comp since for curiosity's sake.

I've been able to pick up one of these three, but pricing has tripled this year if not more.

2 ‘94 UD Mantle / Griffey Jr Dual Autos ending tonight on Fanatics Collect.
A BGS 9.5/10 is currently at $50k, and a PSA 7/9 is currently at $15.5k. Where do you think they’ll end up? And is the BGS 3x the PSA copy?
