People hate Bulger is on the front, but it is not like Bulger was a bad QB. The photo is nice.

A raw can be had in that price range. They are nice in hand. Good photo. Ink stays strong on them for whatever reason.

How reliable is a new cert psa graded fleer autographics? It would go through authenticity guarantee from eBay. I’m just asking because I’ve heard of fakes of that specific card out there

I wouldn't trust PSA to authenticate that card. That is me though. Others might have more knowledge about their ability to do so.

I’ve seen a fake raw silver of that card more than once

Serial numbered 12/250

As far as base version, idk, if it’s graded by PSA guess you’d just hope it’s real! Idk what the alternative is

Oh wow, I mean both look completely legitimate! Since there’s nothing saying otherwise. Anyone that buys a PSA or BGS card online, that’s what they look like. Especially if you can look up the cert like that and see that it’s the exact same auto, something you can’t do with a non auto card

I mean, tough choice lol

Try and go lower on the autographics of course because why not. I’ve seen recently the press pass BGS 9 goes for around $3500-$3600, so I mean the price/grade seem about right. But heck, never hurts to message MC and try and pick it up for $2,800/see what they say

MC is a big consignor compared to the other random seller. I mean if I had to pick ONE I’d try and get the best deal possible on the press pass. Not as good as autographics, but the grade difference sort of balances out I guess

late to the party. I heard some concern about PSA not being able to authenticate the Autographics?

I know there are fakes floating around out there, but have not heard any concerns about psa's ability to call them out. are there any instances where that has happened?

To add, it is very very difficult to try and ascertain authenticity from an ebay image alone.
there are some "tells" on certain cards, like the contenders Rookie ticket, but other than that, I would have to see the card in hand to be able to give a good opinion.

Yeah that's nuts. I didn't expect that at all. Might be a fake sale honestly, but who knows. I was tracking another one, which was a different 2020 National Treasures on Fanatics auction but it was a 1/1

That only went for 6.6k and it was an auction house that usually gets higher numbers. But it was a sticker auto. Somehow they did a sticker on an NT 1/1 card. And the one that went for 10k had an inscription, SB MVP and was on card. Still /5. Just very odd.

I'd most likely try to get an auction. The other guy telling you that was right, most of the time you're going to get a significantly better price than a BIN/OBO.

That doesn't mean you can't get a good deal with an OBO or BIN obviously, but looking at you autographics link - starting price of 3.3k for a PSA 6 is kinda trash. Prices have shot up a lot in the past 6 months, but that same grade PSA sold for 2.55k OBO, might have been as low as 2k.

Another sold 10 days ago, a PSA 6 for best offer under 2.6k. A PSA 7 sold for under 3k with best offer, and a BGS 8 sold for 3.2-3.3k

So I personally wouldn't pay even 2.8k for that PSA 6 and most likely you're not going to negotiate below 3k, 2.9k ish at best if the guy is desperate. He probably wants 3.1+ for that. But you can try. You gotta look at comps.

I was looking for autographics too, there haven't been nearly as many up for auction lately. There were tons 3-6 months ago. Maybe some are now

I agree, a lot of the higher end Brady rookies are becoming fewer and farther between on ebay.

It seems some folks (many) are possibly thinking that prices will continue to rise and are waiting to sell.

Do not own a football card, but have been thinking to add a 2000 Bowman Brady rookie. Do I go with a chrome PSA 8 or pay a little more and get a base bowman in a PSA 9? Pop is so much lower on the base, but chrome is usually king so that is where my dilemma is. Would be for my collection, but obviously want to think about future value as well. Thanks for any thoughts!
