Trying my first attempt at auctioning off a couple of high grade (and hopefully high demand) cards on eBay via COMC. I've heard previously that eBay isn't the best at making COMC auction items noticeable and they can slip through the cracks for cheap. Has this been the case for anybody?

I figured I'd try anyways in the hopes that I boost some spending money on the site:

2003 NetPro Glossy (/500) Serena Williams #P2 RC PSA 10
1993 Stadium Club Murphy Derek Jeter #117 RC SGC 9.5

It's not always immediate, but it still works. Give it a day and if you don't get it transferred over, email auctions@comc.com

Standard ebay auctions are hit or miss for me. I have had cards I valued at hundreds sell for tens of dollars. Like a signed Pele printing plate that went for $90. Or oversized sketch cards of hockey players that sold for $15.

COMC live streams on eBay are ever wonkier. $2 cards sometimes sell for $50, while $50 cards sometimes sell for $2. All depends on how many people are on the stream and how savvy they are. $1.50 Michael Jordan base cards routinely sell for $10-15.

Their reimbursement special for Top COMC sellers on Gem Mint Nights is still in effect. They paid me out on my "losses" from the cards I've submitted through there on the first few Gem Mint Nights.

Agreed. I am guessing there are all sorts of people who are still waiting on the majority of the free slabs to process, myself included. I have over 650 cards (standard processing) that are due on the 22nd. Those are starting to trickle in. We'll see if they get them done on time.

Is the minimum store credit purchase $10? Every time I try and go to the custom amount to purchase $10, it never works. I made a purchase of a PC card and I want to have it shipped home but I don’t want to purchase the $25 cause all I need is $1.75 more to have it shipped.

I purchased $10.00 worth of credit a couple weeks ago. Sure hope it has not gone up.

I think its just the industry standard for a company to be overwhelmed, lacking on customer service and raising fees. Is there a company in this card world that isn't suffering from the same problems right now?

Not making excuses, just pointing out the entire cardboard industry is lacking.

Enter a custom amount of 10.00 and it should work.

.50 for the processing. (If now). Seller wants .25. I buy it (.75) and then I have to pay .25 handling fee and .25 shipping fee plus part of the $4.99 shipping fee if I ship a lot of cards home. Not sure it is worth it as they do not sell.

No one is buying 89 Upper Deck commons for 50-75 cents when there are 200 copies of the exact same card for 2-10 cents. That's what I was talking about is sitting in their warehouses and they aren't getting any store fees. No one will ever buy it at that price. I'm not talking stuff that might sell because even though it's junk, almost no one else has it listed. And by the way, you don't pay $4.99 shipping fee any longer, you pay $19.99.

List a card and I'll buy it from you for $2.
Edit: bought some cards from you.

Submitted 2 correction requests on a card I submitted that was misprinted with an incorrect back (front is Mark Grace, back is for Don Mattingly). COMC uploaded it as a "regular" Mark Grace card.

Usually COMC either denotes a "wrong back" or creates a new item within the system for a misprinted card.

This one they just keep closing the correction request without doing anything.

Do they even read the correction requests? I literally wrote "2ND TIME REQUESTING CORRECTION - Card is misprinted with a wrong back. Back is for card #51 Don Mattingly. Front is Mark Grace."

I think some of the staff that do the correction requests just close them out as being corrected without doing anything to up their completion numbers for the day.

For me:
Standard USPS First-Class Mail Yes 12 days 2025-10-31 $5.99 $0.25 each card.

Yes it is not $4.99 now $5.99 and I stated another .25 for shipping. The $19.99 is for bulk. So any order over 56 cards it is cheaper to go bulk. We have gone over this many times.

Back in 2011 this is one of the things I told Tim that he would be a warehouse of cards that did not sell but a few per a year if that.

Yes I checked the 1989 upper Deck cards. (baseball). Your commons vs my commons may be different. What I think will sell is different from what you think will sell. I did see some that have not sold in years, but others sold in the last few months. Have no idea what they sold for.

There are cards that I would buy that has been setting around for 2 or more years at a price I will not pay.

You can use zendesk to elevate it to a customer support person a week or two from now. After two of those is when I usually message the person I know who works in that team, and he'll get it fixed. If you want to send me the item number, I can pass it along. But the employees that care normally read this thread and will see it within a day or two.

Wasn't COMC supposed to Live Stream from NY ComicCon? The next stream I see for them is Monday. I had 4 sketch cards submitted for this stream, and have seen nothing sent to me about them cancelling the streams.

Sent them an email:

Thank you for contacting us! Due to a last minute change, our team had to cancel our live broadcast from NYCC. All submissions should be refunded and items returned to accounts.

Is everyone seeing COMC's eBay listings and sales act super wonky right now, or is it just those of us who do a lot of TCG? I have a small account that's almost all TCG, and I've encountered more eBay issues in the last month than I did in the previous 4 years as a seller. I know they're changing how they do TCG listings, so it wouldn't be shocking if it's mostly isolated there, but I'm curious if you guys are seeing it in sports and non-sports cards as well.

If an eBay auction doesn’t get paid for, is there away to return it to inventory or does it eventually just return to auction?

It's supposed to return to auction twice more before being put back into your account if it doesn't sell. But that can take quite a bit of time. If you want it returned rather than re-auctioned, you can try to email auctions@comc.com .

About 12 hours now since I won an auction, waiting for the auto-pay to go through. I miss the old days (last year) when the auto-pay went through in about 3 minutes.

Yes and I can accept that. It just seemed like I was getting much better results with cards that had passed review earlier on. Like 30-40% 10’s. Lately it has been really rough. More like 5% 10’s. I personally would rather have more of them fail review and get a higher rate of 10’s.

I guess my biggest complaint is consistency.

Just filed a BBB complaint with COMC. Not sure if it will do anything, more than likely not, but I figured it was the next step to maybe get someone's attention there?

I requested some Grandeur gold coins be shipped home about a month ago. It took about 2 weeks for them to ship the coins despite paying $40 for them. A day after they ship I get an email saying "2016-17 Upper Deck Grandeur Coins Gold #3 Sidney Crosby" is not ready for shipment at this time.

This has been on my Upper Deck ePack account for years so I'm not sure how it is not ready to ship with the other coins I requested?

I have tried to get an update on it for a couple of weeks now with no reply back. If it was something of lesser value I wouldn't care as much, but this coin is worth over $1000.

Maybe the BBB complaint will speed things along or get an update from them?

I've never had to do this before, but I have given the representative weeks to reply back and he has not.

I didn’t think Grandeur coins could be transferred to COMC? Weren’t they held and shipped by UD?

Everything physical from UD ePack is stored at COMC facility.

For the Grandeur coins, you have to request shipment from UD ePack website but COMC actually handles the shipping since they are all stored at their facility.

It makes me think they lost the coin, I'm not sure why it wouldn’t be available to ship?

Have you tried pursuing this with UD, since after all it’s an epack issue? One difference is there are ways to actually call UD customer service where you can’t (at least immediately) call COMC, and UD has an epack-related email to contact for issues with that. Comc customer service is terrible at getting back…they usually do eventually but it’s hit and miss. I just would think since it’s a requested shipment from UD epack, it might be better to contact them first, even if the stuff is stored at COMC (are we sure they all are, even coins like this?)
