People in here just looking for pointless arguments.

Yes, the Lions' current roster is set to win now. They finally moved away from the idea of building rosters to win later, or as we've seen with Bears recently, to win hardly at all.

Yes, the Lions blew it in the playoffs the last two seasons. 2024 hurts almost more than 2023. They realistically have 1 or 2 more chances with their current personnel.

Jared Goff, age 31, is closer to 30 than to 35. That's just math.

Jared Goff, age 31, is past both Prime and Peak. And with nearly 300 sacks, as Dude has the mobility of a tree. It will be a quick decline without Ben Johnson calling plays.

Now that everyone agree Goff is washed. Lets move along...

In the 50 years since home-field advantage was implemented in the NFL playoffs (since 1974) Only 8 of the 50 NFC #1-seeds went on to choke, and not win their playoff game.

42 teams won at least A playoff game, after being given both the first round bye AND Home Field Advantage.

Who were the 8 teams that choked?

The Packers in 2021
The Packers in 2020
The Packers in 2011
The Lions in 2024

Good job NFC North, you made up half the list!

Sure, but the Packers are also only 1 of 3 teams in history to win a Super Bowl without having one home game in the playoffs.

Bears choked pretty hard in the Super Bowl too. Just like my falcons. Not as bad. They own the crown of choke. It was sad though. Started with such hope from Hester then full choke mode.

I know a certain team in the division, that wishes they would have at least lost a Super Bowl. As they never even sniffed one.

You see losing the Super Bowl as a slight. I see it, as winning the NFC. Which, again, is impossible for some teams I guess.

That they didn't choke? I know you have a hard time both reading and understanding. But that list was the #1 seeds that failed to win a single playoff game that year.

The Bears were the number 1 seed in 2006. They got the bye, as they all do. Then beat both the Seahawks and Saints, and won the NFC Championship.

Hence, not on the list as they didn't choke as the 1 seed

Rodgers gets one more time to try and own the Bears but this time with the Steelers. 11/23 at Chicago.

That's not the one to circle. The Bears wouldn't be on his "Grudge Tour".

Sept 7 Steelers @ Jets. The team that just divorced him.

Sept 28 Vikings @ Steelers. The Team A-Aron wanted to play for, but they didn't want him.

Oct 26 Packers @ Steelers. No words need to be said.

At the Bears? Oh it's one to circle - he loved torturing Chicago. It's likely 4th on the circled list behind the three you mentioned, but don't pretend it's "just another game".

A.I. Overview:

Since 2022, the Detroit Lions have a strong record against the NFC North. They have a 5-1 record against the Chicago Bears, a 6-1 record against the Green Bay Packers, and a 4-1 record against the Minnesota Vikings. Their home record against NFC North teams is 8-1, and their road record is 7-2 (0 losses in Green Bay).

Here's a breakdown of their record against each team:
Chicago Bears: 5-1
Green Bay Packers: 6-1
Minnesota Vikings: 4-1

Whose division? The Lions' division!

The Lions have been around since 1930. Why only go back 3 years? What about the other 90+ years?

I like Harry's Game!

Here is the other half, he left off for some reason. From 1930-2021.

The Lions are 75-104 VS the Bears, with 5 ties
The Lions are 72-103 VS Packers, with 7 ties
The Lions are 41-79 VS the Vikings, with 2 ties

I'd list the Lions record against the North in the Super Bowl Era. But that would make Detroit fans super sad.

Ya gotta keep chemistry and other subjects of academia out of here - way too civilized. We speak in grunts and swing clubs at each other.

Because no one cares about ancient history. Or statistics from the time before the sport was integrated.
