The show was better today. I ended up buying a bunch of loose packs of 88 Donruss and 89 Topps along with 5 boxes of 89 Fleer. I already flipped 4 boxes of 89 Topps and 100 packs of 89 Donruss. Going to get some work done tonight, at least through the basketball game. Tomorrow morning is my infusion followed by breakfast with my parents.

I didn’t read the rest of the article but I didn’t see it said that no dogs were found in the corndog.

In Birmingham, AL!

The drive between Slidell and Meridian on I-59 was gorgeous.
Stopped in Laurel and took a few pics.
Watched a southbound military humvee towing another humvee that was towing a support trailer jack knife and flip just north of Laurel.
The lead vehicle spun out but didn't flip like the other two.
It appeared that he hit the brakes too hard and the tow vehicles didn't have brakes.
Hope no one was hurt.

One of these days, I want to head towards a wildfire or hurricane area to take photos of all of the apparatus in the staging areas. I know one of my friends in Jersey is a wildland firefighter that deploys to California and he told me last year when he came off fighting the fire there were almost 300 apparatus in the staging area from all over the country.

I’m sure all of the heroes awaiting dispatch would just love a foamer in their way…

13 of 20 possible days at work this month; 10 of which I'll work 9 hours to cut down on some vacation hours needing to be taken. 6 vacation days including 3 for our family vacation.

In the way of what, them on their downtime relaxing away from the fire and their apparatus? You really don't know what goes on at fire camps.

Slept over 10 hours last night.

Finished the continental breakfast and are going to stop a couple of places here before heading to Tennessee.

Botanical gardens of Birmingham
Trader Joe's
Some fufu place that sells basalmic oils
and Circle K!

I’m sure during their “relaxing” time they want to interact with wackers.
