So after losing both double header games yesterday, the Orioles are now 15-26 (.366) and 9 games out of first. They have gone 2-8 over their last 10 and have the second worst record in the AL behind the White Sox (14-29).

We are only a few seasons removed from some of the worst Orioles baseball teams in history but I feel like this one feels like the worst since it comes after 2 playoff seasons. Not sure how they salvage this. Will be interesting to see the moves they make before thr trade deadline.

Can't be long until the O's make some changes here, can it? Hyde must be on the hot seat.

His seat has to be hotter than the surface of the Sun.

Hyde should be axed, but I don't trust Elias to do the right thing. Sucks to have the worst GM/manager combo in baseball.

So who do the Os replace Hyde with once he gets the ax? Buck Britton?

I’ve stopped paying attention; I never in a million years dreamed they would be this bad though the offseason was an abject failure so I suppose it was almost inevitable.

That would be my pick. I’m interested in replacing our hitting coaches as well.

Definitely not our year. Going to the game Sunday with my nephew but only reason I’m going is to spend quality time with my nephew. Worst team ever.

Bring on Buck Britton! When the Orioles brought on the last Buck their luck changed. Hyde is toast.

He was a nice guy but the team has performed horribly this year.

Of all the bad this year, There is one good. Jackson Is absolutely raking and coming into his own. I would have rather seen Elias go than hyde. Whats hyde supposed to do when his starters are Morton and gibson. I havent seen a downfall like Adley in a long time. he cant hit, and he cant throw anyone out. Would love to see him start to hit so they could trade him at the all star break and Give basallo a shot. He cant do any worse...Maybe...

BOTH Elias and Hyde need/needed to go. But it's just a fact of life that the manager will almost always get fired before the GM.

Just because Hyde wasn't responsible for all the team's problems (and trust me, Hyde was THE worst manager in baseball) doesn't mean that improving the situation at manager wasn't necessary. And firing Hyde also doesn't mean that Elias doesn't also deserve blame, or that Elias doesn't deserve to get fired, because he does. But I see a lot of O's fans saying "it's not Hyde's fault" or that firing Hyde won't fix the pitching or whatever else - that's just a poor thought process. I see those same people saying garbage like we should have brought back Anthony Santander, while ignoring that Santander has been one of the absolute worst hitters in baseball this season.

The O's are in better shape today than they were with Hyde, and that's the most important thing for now. Elias needs to go next, but that won't happen until this offseason at the absolute earliest. And unfortunately it probably won't happen until after the 2026 season starts.

I'd like to see all the hitting coaches and pitching coaches fired. They should have all been let go even before Hyde. Zero credibility and MLB experience across the whole staff, they're all analytics nerds put in place by Donkey Elias. Player-wise, I want to see Morton, Gibson, and Mateo DFA'd immediately. Since Elias made the horrible mistake of lighting $15 million on fire signing Morton, I'm sure Morton will get another chance at the rotation. But that'll be just another in the long line of bad mistakes made by Elias over the past few years.

I agree that Adley has been a huge disappointment and his implosion is really puzzling. I’m not sure if he is just playing hurt or has just lost his mojo. You keep hoping for him to snap out of it but maybe he just settles into a career of being an above average catcher but never hits the superstar status we were all hoping for. Unfortunately, it doesn’t look like Basallo is tearing up AAA so I would prefer they don’t rush him if he is not major league ready.

It is hard to believe it is only mid-May and many of us can’t wait for the season to be over. What an unfortunate turn of events for this once promising young group of players.

I will be at the game today with my nephew. Should be nice weather for a game, so there is that at least! I still loathe the Splash Zone and hopefully he is splashing fans during a 10-2 victory and not after an 8th inning homer in a 10-2 loss. That whole thing makes no sense when your team is playing sub-.350 ball. They should put ithe Splash Zone on hiatus until the Orioles cross .500.

Great day for a game but another horrible day for the O’s. I told my nephew that Eflin was our best starter so we should see a good game and he immediately gave up a homer to first batter he faced. Rough outing for him.

Which vendor do you guys go to to get a good hot dog. I was on the club level today and that food always used to be top notch, but I got a cold hot dog. I’d be surprised if it was on the grill longer than half a minute. I really haven’t had any good food this year and I feel that it gets worse and worse as prices get higher. We are in the don’t give a $#^! era of food service where they serve you cold food and spin the credit card touch screen around that defaults to 20% tip. I will just eat before I go to games from now on.

Woman at corner of Hamburg/Russell. Used to be there after the games during the 2012-16 larger crowd times but I saw her Opening Day this year prior to the game.

Yeah… it has definitely been a horrible year. And really there are two levels of horribleness.

The first is that this season is a total disaster.

The second and potentially even bigger story is this could basically wipe out the whole rebuild narrative. Our whole 2026 chance of success now hinges on the health of Bradish and Grod and whatever big name SPs they can sign next offseason. Not to mention the drafted bats have to start hitting up to their promised levels or we have to go out and get solid free agent bats as well. Its a bit of a mess right now.

Why does it seem like the entire lineup can’t hit when Westburg is hurt?

You know your offense is bad when your team collectively can’t even hit their hitting coach’s career average and your hitting coach is Cody Asche.

I go to wawa on the way to the game, and bring in a sub, Chips, and a soda. Costs like $11 and when taking 3 people it saves a boat load over the course of a season. Thats the best thing about camden is being able to bring in a bag of spaghetti

He’ll light mlb on fire as soon as he gets real playing time in Baltimore. He has more raw power than any prospect I’ve seen in years. With that said, with Mike Elias running this sinking ship, lord only knows when that will occur.
