eBay need to figure something out quick, because mail closes on the east coast very soon.

Moved a bunch of PSA/SGC 9 and under slabs the last few days. Got tired of them sitting around threw them up at $.99 auction and fairly pleased with the results although a couple of cards I thought would go for more ended around the couple dollar mark.

Have really slowed down my Ebay stuff. So far this year I'm at around $468 in net sales which is down 87% from the same period last year but as I said it's intentional.

April sales were down from March, but still up 20% vs last year. Two big reasons they were down from March is falling inventory due to not listing anything new and five days in vacation mode. I still sold 15.4% of my average daily inventory, so I'm happy.

May is off to a terrible start, but that includes four days in vacation mode. New stuff is starting to roll in, so that will help immensely. I fully expect to finish in my range of 14-20% of inventory sold by the time we get to the end of the month.

On the buying side, it is tough sledding out there right now. I've narrowed my focus, so less total opportunities. On top of that my auction win % is in the tank right now.

April was down 26% from March and 14% from last April. May is going steady. I bet BS had best April ever.

Curious if anyone else is seeing a pretty big dip in views today. I averaged around 400K promoted views per day and less than 100K so far today. Was trying to figure out why sales were slow today and that would explain it.

I hate it when eBay for no apparent reason changes my setting to allow counter offers and send offers automatically. Now I have to end every single item that has an offer out and relist.

Assuming you're talking about impressions I am down from yesterday, but Friday is typically my lowest day. Compared to last week my promoted impressions are down slightly, but gaining with five hours to go. My organic are up a little. I think I'll end up with more total, before revisions.

Well, I just lost another 64 offers due to eBay having the allow counters/send automatically as the default. I should not need to train myself to turn that off. That's 260+ seller initiated offers I've lost this week. That's going to affect my bottom line.

I had 2 sales today for amounts that were not my BIN & not what I sent offers for. I have no idea how these 2 items sold for this price. One was below what my auto decline price is set to, so no idea how that happened. I did notice that they turned on the send offers automatically and allow counters as mentioned above, but I turned these off for all the offers I sent. I'm annoyed that this happened and don't want to send any offers right now as I'm afraid they will send some messed up offer. I also ended a bunch of listings with offers and relisted using sell similar to wipe out any potential offer settings eBay decided for me. YMMV, but I'd keep an eye on things.

For maybe a little over a year ebay has had an offer setting that a buyer can accept if you had sent one an offer previously to another buyer that may have been lower. You have to click it off when you sent the offers. It is right above the counter offer feature in offers.

Send automated offer
We'll automatically send offers to current and new interested buyers until sold. Learn more

Until this week, that defaulted to off. I've been having similar problems to the above poster, and it has definitely affected my sales this week. The last batch of offers was back to normal...defaulted to no automatic offers.

That said, according to the eBay help page automatic offers should be for the same amount that you send the original offer for. I send offers of 5% off, so in theory automatic offers should be 5% off. I'm experimenting with one card right now. So far nothing has been sent automatically.

From your seller hub;

Marketing-->Offers--->Edit Offer shows you exactly what offer eBay will (should) send.

Yes, talking about overall impressions. It's really weird how low the impressions were that day for me as it has been pretty consistent and rebounded to normal for Saturday/Sunday.

Somewhat off topic but didn’t know where to post:
Hypothetical, a SN card was sold 2 months ago in a sealed redemption loader and today same SN card is listed raw in unsealded loader. Card value is in the $1000 range. % likelihood card was submitted and came back a < 10 and so now cracked out to be resold raw?

Got my eye on a specific card and yes I know, “buy the card not the grade.”

Thanks all,

Thanks all,
I'd say 100% it will not gem. I'd guess not even a 9.

Have you checked to see if PSA has already graded the card (ie someone took it out of the slab)?

Thanks for the reply, doesn’t matter now, I didn’t win the auction. 2023 Bowman Chrome Gunnar Henderson auto orange / 25. I want to say it went for $1100ish. Pop report has a very high gem rate and so this particular card is likely at least a 9. I want to say it was 14 “10” and 4 “9”

How would I know if PSA already graded the card if only photos I’ve seen of the card are raw?

That would definitely be the answer though if PSA pop report listed out all SNs graded.

Sadly, I think that's by design. It encourages people to crack and re-submit, which brings more money to PSA and the lack of proof(serial #) doesn't highlight their errors in grading for getting a higher/lower subsequent grade. It would take all of 1 min to put the serial number in and just a small blurp that details why a card didn't gem.

This is just one of many reasons that PSA is a horrible grading company that focuses only on the bottom dollar at the expense of it's customer. PSA simply functions on their name & popularity. With their history of inaccuracies, inefficiencies, and extortion, I'm still shocked that people use or even trust them.

I'm having a four day stretch where there must be something up and I can't quite figure it out. My daily average is in the $300-400 range and on slow days I usually still do $200-250. Three of the last four days have been abysmal - $133, $166, $106. I had a fairly normal day on Saturday. Today is looking very poor with only $16 so far. We're talking month after month of consistent sales, so the drop off is really weird/noticeable.

I'm trying to figure out what I am missing that might be behind the dramatic fall off.

- I add listings daily.
- I refresh listings regularly (oldest are around 45 days)
- I promote my listings
- Running a small sale
- Discount on quantity purchases

- Listing views seem down about 30-40% and impressions as well.

Just trying to figure out if I am missing something - tips/tricks/advice appreciated.

I have noticed a lot more volatility in my sales recently. For example, in the last 7 days I've got two days of average, four days of way below average, and one huge day. Overall for the week I am a toward the lower end of what I'd consider acceptable, but still within the range.

My sales numbers are super consistent, so when a large dip like this occurs it's noticeable to me.

Playing around with different ideas - ended my promotions campaign and created a new one.

It may just be a coincidence but May 15th was my first drop-off day and that was the day images stopped working all of a sudden. Wondering if there is something on the back end that got messed up which has not been fixed.

I might try contacting eBay to see if they have any ideas.

There is also the possibility that your set wasn't bricked and the buyer swapped a set that is.
Unlikely but it is a possibility.

My sales had been pretty conistent as well. If I define a normal day as selling between 0.46% and 0.67% of my listed inventory, I've gone from 5 normal days a week to 2.

The back end might have been an issue. I noticed the biggest problems when they goofed up the seller offers, but I did notice a drop in offers sent with the image issue as well. That has already reverted to normal though. For predictive metrics, I would say the # of offers I have out is as good as anything at predicting future sales and it is incredibly stable. Much more so that traffic or views or even # of items with watchers (which is 2nd on the list).

So far, back on track today.

The only variable I changed yesterday was to end my promotions and then restart promotions. I did it late in the evening yesterday and it seems to have had an immediate effect as items began selling.

I will keep tracking this week and see if this was my issue.

It's like flipping switches until you figure out which one was faulty.
