Seeing Jeanty won’t be at the 12 spot ..hoping maybe T Mac or possibly Golden will be at 12 to go opposite CeeDee

Yeah, most say Jeanty gets grabbed by the Raiders at 6. If that doesn't happen, zero chance he makes it past the Bears at 10. McMillan, Golden & Egbuka will all be sitting there at 12 I bet.

Damn,,I rather him go to the Raiders than see him in the NFC with Ben Johnson running the offense with that in the backfield

Shedeur Sanders over/under draft spot is set 8.5 ...
(any team top 8 picks is a win, Saints #9 or anyone picking after is loss) |

Who are your top 3 choices for the bears if you were making the pick?

If another quarterback is taken round 1, it's probably a team reaching a bit to take/trade on Dart or maybe Milroe. The QB talent for 2025 is just not impressive. Sanders is a project at best. No matter what his last name is, you can't chisel the concrete off his feet or teach him to make faster reads/decisions. That's a bust for any team without an A+++ offensive line, and how many have that? None that need a QB. Media loves to hype the QBs as they're exciting picks and can be seen as franchise saviors, but they bust more than they hit. The prospects taken this week all have holes. There are definitely no Caleb or TLaw or Burrow or Andrew Luck or Stafford or Cam Newton or Peyton who've won a whole lot in college and very likely to win in the pros within this '25 class. Not even close. |

I know it’s deemed the consensus right now, but I just don’t see the raiders taking Jeanty.
The new GM Spytek has been in Tampa for so long, and his first pick running the show is gonna be a RB? I just have a hard time believing it

Jeanty's an impact player, generational talent at RB, head and shoulders above other RBs this year (or almost any year).. helps almost any team. Saquon was a great prospect, but Jeanty is arguably better. He blocks and catches well and could really help a young QB. He will likely be the best of the 2025 rookies for card values unless one of the top two WRs ends up with a really good team/offense. The biggest (only?) knock on Jeanty is probably that RBs are seldom drafted high anymore (none #1 overall in 2000s era, few in top 5 picks). I am honestly surprised Ashton's not talked about as possible #1 overall pick given the fairly weak draft class for 2025 and lack of standout player; if he'd gone to OSU or Texas or maybe UMich or OU, he likely would be considered that top dog? He still was Heisman runner up at BSU, and it's not as if the other high pick 2025 candidates are bulletproof: Ward has many xfers and questions, Hunter is great and versatile but may not be elite at NFL level for either CB or WR, Carter had injuries (shoulder/foot). I really think Jeanty could surprise and may go as high as #2 Browns (Chubb worn down, grindy division with bad weather and run games often rule). NYG #3 obviously needs a RB... and so does almost any other top 12 draft team besides NYJ or (maybe) Jax or SF. Jeanty's current odds have him most likely going 5th or 6th pick. We find out soon. If #4 Pats or #6 Raiders don't take Jeanty, I think Saints will be very happy to call his name. Saints or Bears or Cowboys are the furthest I'd see him slipping (and some team could trade up by that point also). Last edited by slyguy; 04-21-2025 at 10:02 PM. |

The odds are changing at no5 overall! People are now realizing that Jacksonville needs a playmaker more than another DL.

He has a lot of talent, but turnovers will be his issue.
I'm sure Tenn is really trying to trade. It may or may not work. If they're smart, they accept a bit less value... or just buck the media and take who will help their team and be lower risk. We'll see. Even if a team can protect Ward, he just won't get away with most of the stuff in NFL that he tries in NCAA... and typically succeeded at. Ward is not Jayden Daniels or Caleb (Heisman), and he's not Nix (tons of exp vs top college teams, big games). The problem with #1 pick quarterback is he'll almost certainly be forced to start early or even immediate in 2025 (coach on those bad teams is on the hot seat, other QBs on teams drafting #1 are not very good). Ward is not normally a #1 or even top 10 pick guy, but this is a very bad QB prospects group. He is high pick mostly by default. ...so yeah, uphill road for Ward. But if you want to see truly hilarious, wait and watch if Shedeur Sanders starts games in 2025. That will be a full blown train wreck. Last edited by slyguy; 04-22-2025 at 07:55 PM. |

Dude does everything... runs, catch, block, NFL size, doesn't get hurt. His "bad games" don't really exist. I think he'll probably run away with ROY on most teams that'd take him... finalist for OROY 2025 season at minimum. But think what you will. |

We will re-visit this statement down the road when you have to eat crow.
He's very talented, and by all accounts, no character issues, and a good team leader. That's all a good start. Will he take some chances and play some Cowboy ball early on? Probably. Will he make some fantastic plays that make your jaw drop? Certainly. He's going to be good if he can realize that he can't take some of the chances he did in college in the NFL. My biggest fear is that as a player that likes things to develop, and buys time extending plays, that he may take some sacks. His clock is going to have to be adjusted for the NFL. I predict he does grow and learn, and will be a talent in the NFL for years. Part of it will be coaching, part of it's on him. I don't mind a little Cowboy in my QB- someone that takes chances. Most QBs that have been very successful were gun slingers at times doing crazy ad libs- Favre, Rodgers, even Mahomes to this day |

Yahoo posted a mock draft yesterday where Sanders wasn't even taking in the 1st round...
