Congrats to Dick Allen and Dave Parker getting inducted into the Baseball HOF. They both have game-used cards available so I was able to add them to the collection. Parker has plenty to choose from while Allen has bat cards from this years Leaf Lumber series.

After searching I think it's 2002 Topps American Pie Through the Years. Very cool Shanks thanks for the info. Looks like Dave Parker has a jersey in the same set tool.

Congrats to the newest members of the H.O.F. Ichiro Suzuki, C.C. Sabathia and Billy Wagner! Along with our 2025 inductees Dave Parker and Dick Allen this brings us to 218 (game-used) members.

Thank you again Shanks! I was able to pick up the Topps version of Dick Allen's bat card.

If there are any other players I have not accounted for please let me know. The list and visible collection https://www.blowoutforums.com/showthread.php?t=1248660 have been updated.

My biggest regret in all of my collecting was

2012 national treasures Walter Johnson ball card

At the time I owned a card store

Cost was like 315 dollars a box. Most people were appalled at price in 2012

After I opened like 2 boxes I immediately called my distributor and order all they had

Was like 5 cases. I still believe it’s the greatest modern card product of all time

Was filled with hof and pre war relics. Now like most things it’s over priced prospect crap

Anyway. I pulled some amazing patches buttons and tag cards. But my biggest pull was Walter Johnson ball card numbered to 10-20 ?

I knew how incredibly rare it was and was never going to sell it

Local customer badgered me for weeks. Finally offering me 2000 dollars

2000 dollars in 2012 card market is probably 5000 now. Maybe more

About a year ago I ran into the guy and he still has it. He is a huge collector .. has cut autos of Ruth Gehrig Cobb etc. he is almost 80 now. Says his whole collection is going to goldin when he passes away.

I have never seen another Walter Johnson ball card in last 13 years

Regrets

Hindsight is always 20/20, but man... that is still a great story.

The Walter Johnson ball cards are going to be silly prices when they pop up. I thought my Leon Day was bad enough, but the Walter is going to make the Leon look like a dollar.

Does anyone else find it odd how there appears to be like virtually no Cy Young game used cards like at all? I keep checking eBay and I keep checking back here. But nope. Zilch. I've got game used items of his contemporaries like Wagner, Lajoie, Keeler, and even John McGraw. But no Cy Young.

Interesting story Kyle, and so cool to have pulled it yourself! $2K at that time would be hard to pass up. Who knew there would not be another relic of him after 2012!!!

I agree with both you and Mattglet. Unless they unload a bunch of Big Train relics (not entirely impossible) the existing 24 cards will continue to command a premium. As for the hard to find Leon Day relics those are limited to 100.

Robles Fan, I'm not sure why there aren't any Cy Young relics as you make a great point, but there's still another 133 members who don't have one either.

Man, this story hurts! Thanks for sharing. It'd really cool to hear a story of someone actually pulling one of those cards from a pack. I'm a HOF GU collector and it's the one card I need to complete the entire run. It took years to finally get the Leon Day glove card and Walter is all that remains. I've bid on it on two occasions and both times was blown out of the water at the final price. I've saved up quite a bit and it's my number one card that I'm after. Thanks again.

I'm finally close to getting all of my HoF cards scanned in but I do have all of my game used entered. It's nice to see everything in one spot.

Very cool, thanks! Always nice when others share a similar collecting interest.

I agree with the notion that the collection is never finished.

Now I still look…. but not for myself. The last eBay listing I know of was in 2023, so it’s been a while.

My watch list keeps getting hit with those hideous 2025 Historic Autographs Walter Johnson cards.
