Has anyone watched “Starting 5” on Netflix?

Pretty cool show. Follows LeBron, Tatum, Edwards, Butler, and Sabonis around for the 23-24 season.

A few takeaways for me:

Jimmy Butler is hilarious. He’s got this reputation I guess as a kind of no nonsense tough guy but he’s really just a funny easy going guy.

Anthony Edwards is incredibly immature. He might be a great player but he’s got a terrible attitude just towards life in general. If you’re an Ant investor just don’t watch because it doesn’t look good for his long term future just as a person.

It’s not surprising that NBA players sons are also in the NBA.

Tatum, contrasting with Edwards, is very mature. Clearly raised right, respectful guy, super hard worker, everything going right for him

I've been watching this with my Son and it is worth a watch.

I completely agree about Ant. Put me right off that guy even more. Add in he has 3 baby Mommas already plus thinks to build up his era he has to disrespect the greats of the past. Ooomph. What a douche.

Watching it right now. On episode 5. It makes me dislike Ant more and makes me like Jimmy more than I did (and makes LeBron more likable also). Tatum and Sabonis are meh for me.

Yeah most people are smart enough not to knock up so many women. The only bit of excuse I can provide for Ant is this. There is a whole cottage industry of women flaunting their stuff on instagram. Sending it to the athlete. The whole point is to get knocked up and a paycheck. Basketball players seem to be easy marks. It sounds like Ant has been tagged as a mark. Kind of like Tyreek in football, ha ha.

There's no infidelity when marriage ain't involved. He's taking care of his sole daughter. I see no issues with how he spends his money otherwise or what OF thot he's tricking off on. Bad choice in women; not particularly rare in today's society inside or outside of sports.

Adidas lets him be him..Nike had Jordan looking like a Sunday pastor when he was far from that knowing everything we know now bout MJ

Ant is still very likeable because he doesn't sugarcoat his personality & that's why the media & fans respect it. Plus he dont be on on BS in his personal life (trouble wise)
He just be with his family & get his side pieces

Ant, not sure he will make it through the season (injury wise). Let me check how many times Minnesota plays Knicks, Heat, and Pacers.
