Might be one of the easiest of all time.

But after they choked to GS and Miami so hard, the basketball Gods allowed them to stack their team to finally win.

What salt. Haha. I picked Boston before the Playoffs and bet Brown for FMVP.

Also won $550 on a Boston/Dallas Finals series.

Yeah, that speech was weird. They were the favorites all season and the best 8 player rotation.

Still beats the KG one though.
Their role players are crazy good.

When you can win a title and handle injuries easily, it's a bit cray.

Dallas' whole year was predicated on slowing game pace to a halt and hoping they can control TOP with efficiency.

Who knows how things shake up going forward.

Congrats to the Boston Celtics for their 18th title. I was hoping the Mavs would have put up a better fight, but the C's were just too good at both ends of the court. Anyways, I just saw this for you Funko pop fans. Looks pretty cool.

16-3 actually.

10th best record all-time, 13th best point differential playing the weakest road to the finals since the Nets.

I don't think they make the cut but if they do, it's with a healthy Porzingis.

Gonna be interesting to see how other teams respond to build a championship level squad.

D. White and Jrue were particularly outstanding. Hauser also.

Very impressive.

Easiest finals run - spurs in 07.
Beat the cavs who had Boobie 4 MVP. One man stood against 5. Basically what happened this series

It really was a masterclass by Ainge & Brad getting the right complementary pieces around Tatum & Brown.

Luka and Kyrie are good and the trades they made at the deadline really turned them around, but the Celtics defense and depth was just too much to overcome.

We all know that they shouldn't have let anyone from the East even play in the Finals. All those teams were terrible.

Try to keep up, but we're talking about the Playoffs as a whole. Not just the finals.

Probably the weakest 4 series for a title ever. But Boston was going to win anyway.

Summed up pretty well.

They're way over the cap with this roster so it'll be interesting to see what they'lll do

This is all Brad. If Ainge had stayed, they would have lost in the Finals because they would have kept Smart.

Stevens traded for Jrue and Porzingis, before that traded for White on the cheap AND before that brought back Horford. I wouldn't be shocked if he was the one pushing for Pritchard and (lol) Nesmith.

You’re right, but someone previously made the point that there is no Tatum/Brown without Ainge.

And Tatum/Brown were picks from the second Ainge trade steal when he traded 2 of the previous Big 3 to Brooklyn.

I think they keep the team, the owner doesn't seem to mind paying the tax.

If anything, I can see them trading for more frontcourt depth.

Ainge did the toughest part (on paper): getting the superstars. But he was never willing to pull the trigger and you could see the results.

95% of the front offices in the league wouldn't have won a title in 3 years building around Tatum/Brown. Brad did it because he's one of the best if not the best exec in the BA.

Agreed. Danny just couldn’t pull the trigger on moving any of those picks.

I’m ecstatic they finally made it over the hump tonight.

Jrue had a really strong case for MVP, especially after being the key to them winning the first 2 games while Brown & Tatum got their game's together. Held Kyrie in check for the whole series too (only 4 APG coming into tonight)

Hats off to Brad Stevens though for taking a step down to bring Celtics #18. Brought in Jrue, White, Pritchard, Hauser & Porzingis who all hit big shots when the 2 stars struggled throughout the series. The right vets to get it done when the pressure was on. He should eventually join Theo Epstein in Boston lore if the Celtics keep contending.
