I stated I didn't smash and I stand by that. I didn't. But I was offended. It's not something I wouldve made a big deal out of, but the guy went too far. Whoever decided to take action has my gratitude.

That said, I hope he's back soon too. I don't know the extent of whatever transpired, thankfully, and I hope I never learn it all. I trust the powers that be will make the right decisions.

I stated I didn't smash and I stand by that. I didn't. But I was offended. It's not something I wouldve made a big deal out of, but the guy went too far. Whoever decided to take action has my gratitude.

For the record there are only 3 people I have reported in the 12 years I have been a member. People frown upon it but sometimes it’s necessary if it’s a personal attack. I don’t think what sibs did was worthy of a long suspension as other people have insulted my wife and only gotten 4 days, he has been banned twice now but we made our peace before that happened. I know we have all not done similar but don’t pretend we are all angels at one point or a few we have all done something that deserved a suspension, some of us got it worse than others so be it. I have tried avoiding conflict and it’s better off that way.

As I said, I don't know the extent of what happened or whatever relevant history there may be. I did/do enjoy Sibs and I think he was/will be awesome to have around.

Sibs was/is someone I liked having around, except when he went too far. He seems like a decent human being, just one whose sense of humor doesn't always align with mine.

Your last sentence the mods tend to handle things before it comes to that doesn’t ring true half of the time if it did there wouldn’t be a need for the report button. And even if the button is smashed it doesn’t even accomplish what it is supposed to. I tend to stay away from highly contested threads to stay on the downlow but sometimes drama just finds me.

It's true for me, as I haven't really had a need for the button. The only time I hit it was as a courtesy to the mods, simply to alert them in case they hadn't seen the porn bomb someone had left yet.

I get that we are all different, but my way of handling posts I didn't like was simply to leave blowout. As many remember, I left for nearly two years.

I don't expect mods to handle stuff for me. I'm a big girl and I know this site doesn't belong to me. They make the rules. I accept things as they are or I leave.

I'm only here because the mods are awesome and keep this place reasonably clean. If they didn't, I'd be more likely to just leave than smash. That's just who I am.

This person said they "ARE NOT COMFORTABLE" using that term.

I excused myself and told my boss unless I wasn't feeling well and was going home.

For your information Rachel I was a moderator at sportscard forum for 7 years. It’s not a matter of being a big girl or big boy. And you may think the mods are wonderful and you are entitled to your opinion but they are okay with certain areas of favoritism in my eyes. Maybe you missed a lot in the times you stayed away but trust me there are a lot of flare ups primarily during football season that are allowed to play out too long. Just like you said you alerted them to the porn because they might not have seen it that is also the primary reason for reporting other posts. We will disagree on this and that’s fine A’s that’s what makes people different.

I have a few people I enjoy, many people I like, but not a single "friend".

Drama isn't my thing either, despite what I suspect some may think. I'd rather leave than get deep into the goings-on around here. I just like to keep it light and enjoy the connection to other collectors.

I hope I didn't come off as preachy. That wasn't my intent, especially to you. My intent was simply to say that I'm glad these things aren't up to me, and I have faith in the mods. That's all.

Had a great day today. Took photos of the apparatus fro move-in at the SC Fire Rescue Conference and of some of the Chief's Cars that are attending. Met up with a friend who lives further south here in SC and met a new friend here in North Myrtle Beach. Together, we talked to some of the manufacturers and were able to get some apparatus posed.

After a much needed shower, I met up with a friend and his wife that had moved from MD down here. We went and photographed the apparatus and 3 of the 4 Murrells Inlet fire stations. We then went to Creek Ratz and ate some good seafood for dinner.

Glen would have loved dessert. It is referred to as a Murrells Inlet Wedding Cake. It is a moon pie topped with vanilla ice cream, whipped cream, and chocolate syrup.

Mr JD and I were able to meet for lunch today at a food truck event. We sat in a park and ate together. It was very nice.
