Yep.

They should have taken longer given the results on a few of them. I'm really ticked because those three cards are not trimmed. I got all three from different places. The odds all three are trimmed are next to zero, especially since I bought them in their original packaging and the sellers didn't even show pictures of individual cards. It's an old ultra thin paper stock card from 1935 and there might be some slight fraying, which is what they are confusing with trimming. I obviously got a grading team that had never handled them before. No wonder it took so long.

Sub popped this morning… some fun ones in here, although bummed on the Authentic grade for the Aaron.

'58 Aaron...that big spot next to his hat? Great centering, though!

Yes, I imagine that’s what they flagged. Looked more like a water spot or speck that was stuck between cards, but they’re the pros and I am not!

My order just popped, will post images if people want to see later. No surprises for the following cards. Exactly how I thought they would grade.

1. 1950 Bowman #5 Y.A. Tittle SGC 4.5
2. 1952 Bowman Small #127 Ollie Matson SGC 3
3. 1955 Bowman #283 Nestor Chylak SGC 5.5

Then the two shockers. I bought a few Wheaties cards off of COMC and thought they looked nice, but expected either A or a grade under 4. Didn't know how they treated hand cut cards.

4. 1952 Wheaties Portrait Ted Williams SGC 6
5. 1952 Wheaties Bob Davies Action SGC 7

Looking at the pop reports from SGC, doesn't seem like they give this high of grades typically on them. They look like a piece of artwork in these holders!

My 2 card order that was received on 4/5/24 was shipped today. It was in post grade processing for 2 days, which was a first.

I was hoping for a 3 on the Greenberg and a 2.5 on the Wynn, but I guess the centering knocked them down. Still happy based on what I paid and their overall eye appeal.

Sending in a Topps archive mini card. Remove from the one touch or keep?

Also, turnaround times still lagging a bit?

Posting an FYI.. I always found SGC to be pretty strict and on point with the grades. I was surprised to see a 10 with fingerprints all over the card. That doesn't factor in? I thought it did.

Let them know and they will reslab it.

I have a Ohtani 2019 Heritage Chrome refractor that graded a a 9.5 or a 10...had a HUGE thumbprint in the margin that wasn't there when I subbed it...sent them a polite question asking if they could clean it off and reslab and they did it free of charge w/ my next sub.

Most likely fingerprints left by the grader when they were eating McD's French Fries and grading your card at the same time. Just send a picture and they will reslab the card after they wipe it down. Probably very common right now as they try to rush through orders to get back to meeting turnaround times.

I got it from someone that said they didn't wipe down any cards in their order, which is why it was more puzzling. My assumption is they arrived that way ( I got two ANT's from them, same issue). I bought them to cross to PSA. They wiped right off w/ a microfiber. No special sauce needed.

I was doing final prep on my grading order last year in the SGC booth at a show...one of the lackeys working for them did say that their graders will take care of MINOR card cleaning...but they were instructed not to do anything to the card that could damage it (obviously).

To me, that meant they would brush off a fleck of dust or lint that may be stuck via static electricity or something, but they wouldn't do anything w/ fingerprints, especially on chrome cards.

I'm sure if varies from grader to grader and their expertise w/ handling cards.

I can't imagine NOT giving cards a wipe down before shipping them off for grading.

I like this seller! You know that no special Kurt's juice were used on this card.

It shouldn't be a SGC 10 with fingerprints like that. If you bought the slab from someone, just contact SGC with pictures. They will most likely reslab the card for you at $0 cost with shipping both ways.

cool, good to know. I always wondered what they did with minor lint and dust..it's rough trying to get every speck off chrome/prizms before sleeving and placing into the Card savers. Those things are dust magnets too.

Good info for a card I want to keep in SGC. These I grabbed at a good price and figured it be a cheap crossover experiment.

That was a fast grading for a big order.

Your shipping is fast since you are right next door. Mine goes from Cape Coral>Ybor City>Ft Myers>Boca Raton

Don't know why it wastes a day going up the state, then back down to my county again and then over Alligator alley to Boca Raton.
