People are too selfish now. Sadly, I don't see him ever doing it. He'd just rather collect his money and be worthless all the while hampering the team from signing someone who can actually help.

I'm not sure that would be all on him, anyway. Even if he wanted to my guess is that he'd get significant feedback from the player's union and there may even be legal reasons in place why he can't. But it would be nice to free up that $, to say he's been a bust is an understatement.

Depending on how Jones and Jasson do, the latter when he comes back, Stanton is likely to find himself on the bench if we had a competent manager. Hell, I'd rather have Grisham out there as he can at least play OF and you can use the DH spot for Judge / Soto

So, how is every fan doing picking up Jasson Dominguez's first rookie cards?

So far I have the base, aqua, royal blue, yellow, rainbow foil, gold foil, holiday foil, and Easter egg cards. Most of the rest are above what I'd like to pay.

For sure, playing time is a whole different discussion. But getting out of that contract has a near zero chance of happening for the Yankees - whether initiated by a player or not.

Stanton looks done. I guess they couldn't find anyone to take him. I don't want this to end ugly for him because he has been a standup guy and great in the postseason.

Problem is nobody is taking on his salary and if you're still paying it then it still hurts for the luxury tax. He needs to do an Ohtani restructuring so we pay him like 2M for 10 years then 100M for 10 years. Not saying this has any chance of happening, just what I'd like to see as he's a massive albatross as things stand now.

Even with that 1st inning single by DJ, Volpe still looks better than him in the leadoff spot.

DJ must be reading BO in between innings. Double and an RBI today now.

Nice job I haven’t been able to hit any parallels but have 4 of his rookie cards. Bowman 2020 is a different story 30 different Jasson cards from that set.

All it took was me turning the game on was literally 2 minutes for them to lose the 1-0 lead walk. Bichette double that Judge would’ve caught but Soto didn’t and a Lucas triple to left 2-1 Jays man on third.

That was odd taking the pitcher out on a 2-2 count.

Not for nothing but this home plate umpire is just a tad off with his strike zone.

I'm almost up to owning 200 of his cards already.

The ESPN feed died at work and nothing was getting updated other than the inning, so I lost track of what was going on.

2-1 loss pitchers always ahead of the hitters it seems.

Stroman and Schmidt seem to be the best 2 starters so far.

I think their pitching will be fine this year but I am tired of the hitting still not coming through in the clutch. Wasted opportunities in most games.

Blue Jays a dark horse. Today a good example of their pitching that will win games like this.
