Horrible to see this. PSA is a mess of a company SGC was fast communicative and honest. This is bad for the hobby.

I want to look on the bright side, a monopoly indeed but imagine if people stopped paying so much for that slab... wipe out grading in one shot lol

Why didnt they just buy SGC a couple years ago instead of standing up the NJ site. Seems like it would have been alot cheaper way of brining a 2nd site online, quickly and on East Coast.

Rovell also tweeted that both companies will live on separately. I don't know what to make of the news but I'm sure it isn't good for the collectors in the long run.

SGC was outpacing their competitors in growth.
In growth percentage, but not total submission growth YoY. Nearly doubling is great, though.

I really thought fanatics was going to buy SGC since they have done so many grading specials together. That seemed like an easy way for them to keep everything in house (live breaks, offer cheaper rates to grade your hits via SGC, or even sell hits they never put in products via SGC).
