So we are at the first week of opening and how many have Ohtani's have appeared?

Assuming a larger share of cases have been opened the first week than would in following week what percentage of the entire run has been opened? Ten percent might be a good guess as he absolute most. Two have surfaced so there are probably 25 of them is my guess.

Will Ohtani collectors be chasing this card in 5 years? Maybe depending on the success the Dodgers have.

1K sounds like a strong offer for a raw copy.

ive yet to see any of the 2024 base in person, but ive heard QC can go either way

I agree, it was a strong offer considering its raw and how much mystery there is on print runs. The guy said it was in good shape but who knows.... It's all going to come down to print run. If it's 50 or less $1k is light probably, If a lot more of these surface and there's 200+, $1k is high probably. Or maybe not! It's certainly intriguing, which is why I made the offer I did. But I'm not going to go crazy on it lol.

$1K is about a US1 SSP RC. Do the right thing

I don't know about chasing that card in an 'on its own merits, as a standalone thing' way - but in a 'compiling the set of all Shohei's 2018 flagship cards' way, absolutely.

All Sho flagship SSPs are sought after. It's definitely #3 in the hand on helmet, batting, hierarchy, but it's in demand.

Agreed - its an RC SSP! Those are in the top echelon of non-auto ohtani RCs. but definitely the least demanded of the 3....just slightly ahead of the normal sps (with bat 700, or warmup us1)

Stopped into my LCS last week for some Stadium Club and while I was there he offered me a case of '23 Heritage High Number for a price that was too good to refuse.

I started ripping last night and on the 7th box, I hit a crazy one.

As a huge Ohtani collector, I never thought I would get so lucky to pull one of his auto's let alone a hard signed Real One Red.
