You do have a few cards that I would buy if they were for sale and priced right. I would not hold anything against you.
He doesn't have any cards for sale...his linked account is all of comc listings.

What are you talking about those are not his cards..those 6 million plus cards are the cards on the site..It is a glitch I would imagine....Why would you think someone has somewhere around a billion dollars worth of cards in someone elses possession

They shipped them faster than 5 months? Covid was the only time there was a longer than normal ship time?

During covid... that's crazy.

You implied it happened to you so I based my reply off that.

This rarely happens? Then it's not a problem.

So they do refund shipping if you complain.

Cards do get returned but now it's because of labeling mistakes not shipping delays.

In summary COMC isn't as bad as people are making it sound.

If COMC is doing something wrong they should be called out. I still haven't heard any "wrong doing", everything stated in this thread is what people agreed to when they chose the cheapest shipping option.

I'm not a COMC homer either, this thread is just a bunch of adults whining about a shipping delay they knew had the possibility of happening when they chose the cheapest option.
I agree that COMC in not as bad as some people are making it sound.

I've used COMC since 2018 and have sold nearly 15,000 cards on the site (average of about $8 per card) and have never had any cards returned to my account.

Every shipment request I have requested has been delivered safely and within the time-frame expected. Any "economy" shipments I requested - I knew BEFORE requesting that the shipment date was just an ESTIMATE.

COMC can not control the weather, employees getting sick, or any other unpredictable circumstances that might delay processing of shipping or submissions.

COMC does not have a crystal ball to know if they are going to sell 10,000 cards today or sell 50,000 cards today. They can't just hire 10 more people on a whim every time they sell 50,000 instead of 10,000 in a day to help expedite processing and shipping. That is not how running a business like that works.

And for anyone saying they shouldn't run eBay auction promos if they can not handle it. They only list 2,000 to 3,000 eBay auctions per day while running the promo in order to not overwhelm shipping. When not running the promo they list around 1,500 eBay auctions per day. The eBay auctions are a small fraction of their daily sales and would have little impact on overall shipment times.

The eBay auction promo definitely led to more eBay sales for fixed-price items, but COMC has no way to gauge how much of an influx of sales they would get from it.

As I said before, COMC does not have a magic wand to wave and get all shipping done at once. It is a very labor intensive job. They want to get it all done as quickly as possible, but they can only do so much each day.

Everyone will get their cards in time... It'll be okay...

I don't buy cards to try and flip for a few hundred dollars so not sure why it shows all that.

Exactly this. My perspective is only from the buying side, but this is a great post from someone who has a perspective on both sides - buying/selling.

My order was just pushed out another month. They need to stop taking shipping costs, until the parcel is ready to go out. Total #@#@#@#@#@#@#@#@ TBH.

I don't think that is the solution, as they need to be paying the people to do their job. They just need to hire some more people or shift around some until they can get this under control. Everything is an extra month out. That has been wildly documented on this thread and the main thread. You just have to expect it right now if you want Economy shipping. It needs to get under control, but I do not agree with your answer.

Yep. My package pushed to March, the number of items barely making any progress at all, remaining 200,000+. There was a massive shift with economy orders starting around Jan. They are so focused on advertising ebay auctions, submissions, and grading, while not handling a most basic thing like getting customers' orders sent out.

OK !!!! Requested a shipment of 207 cards on 12/11/2023 original delivery date was 1/11/2024. No Problem with that. This morning (around 11:00 MST) this was what I saw.
Status:
Tracking: Not Shipped Yet
Date Requested: 12/11/2023
Estimated Ship Date: 2/13/2024
Items Ahead of My Order: 67,017 Which was approx. 2,500 more than yesterday with a ship date of 2/9.

Just minutes ago, I got an e-mail stating they were shipped. Now the status shows shipped.

This is why I do not believe any of the dates or number that shows on the Status Area. My dates and numbers jumped around all this time. I messaged them several time about what I was seeing and got the same type of reply. We are working as hard as we can and trying to keep things correct.

Normally it takes 4 to 5 days to get to me after the time they state it has been shipped. We will see this time.
Yes I understand just them giving me a tracking number does not mean the PO has it in hand and being on its way to me.

I'm not in a rush either, but they should change the estimated ship date if it's not going to ship then.

Mine's been bouncing around the 190-210K mark on items ahead for a week now.

Not surprised that they can't be accurate, but kind of disappointing that they can't meet their own timelines.

1/15 is almost a month ago and still 400k items ahead of mine. Not looking good.

My 12/10 request shipped on 2/2. They are approaching 2 months. With spring training here, not a good time of year to be behind shipping for baseball sellers.

According to COMC, my shipment originally requested on December 11 was shipped on Friday. If so, that would be 60 calendar days.

Hopefully, whatever caused the delay is a temporary problem, and everyone will get their packages soon.

Date Requested: 12/11/2023
Actual Ship Date: 2/9/2024

I have almost that same exact timeline, and then just this morning it changed from 2/19 to 3/27.

I can deal with the delays (somewhat, frustrating) but typically there quality has been top notch minus one situation where a card was listed incorrectly and i bought in error (listed as a refractor, it wasnt by the image and i didnt look close enough) which, it is what it is. Dont like hearing errors coming from them in addition to these delays.

What is frustrating me though is the # yesterday for items in front of mine was 209k, today its 216k. I just hope i get the stuff i requested start of Jan for a show im doing in march at this point

Ridiculous handling of the shipping situation by COMC.

I ordered an economy rushed shipment Feb 10th, just to test it. Gave an estimation of about 12 days to ship it out. Shipped today, 2/13. And two of those days were Sat and Sun no less where they arent shipping. So not only are rushed shipments not delayed at all, they appear to be skyrocketed in the system to much quicker than the estimate says.

Meanwhile, my original economy shipment placed back in Dec, is continuing to tread water, not moving with the # of items ahead on a day to day basis. It's been sitting at around 205,000-ish and not even budging for like a week. How can it, when newly placed ebay and rushed shipments get absolute, no-delayed (even quicker) priority? I doubt I even get it by march.

This is exactly what I was referring to above: they are not dealing with the rushed shipments in a logical manner. Because of that, and also because all these promos with ebay and grading, they have completely swamped their basic shipping....what a way to run a company.

Can I ask how many cards were in your economy rushed shipment?

It was actually just one card, but that shouldn’t jump it in front of other orders in a reasonable system. I think it’s silly they can get this order shipped out in under 2 business days, and basic shipments are taking 2 months minimum.

I know what you are saying, but kicking out a one card order takes no time whatsoever. I am tempted to make a 30 card economy rushed order and see how long that takes. The last few that I have asked for have been filled in about 2-3 days. On the other end I am waiting on my next two from basic from the middle of December. They are on the Checking and Packing, so hoping today or tomorrow.

True but shouldn’t matter how large the order. For example I’m pretty sure a 100 card economy shipment does not get priority over a 200 card economy shipment. Also even though one card, it still requires the paperwork for the shipment order etc, requires it packaged into a padded mailer and mailing label…it’s not just pulling one card and that’s that. Point being is a ton of those 1 card orders piling up does contribute to backlog. A fair system would be queuing the shipping based on order placed for that tier.

I imagine a 1-card basic economy order (silly way to ship an order) would still be multiple months out, even though it’s one card. However I have not actually tested that.

I'm seeing a noticeable decline in sales this month - hoping that gets comc to take this shipping nonsense seriously

I know I’m not buying as much as normal. The delays are a major reason why for me.

Over the years this has been talked about:
1. How do they pull orders?
When my order come up. Do they have one person go out and pull all of my 200 cards, running all around the 4 warehouses? I do not think so. Do they have all of their pullers go out and get my cards. I do not think so.
2. How are they stored? We have no Idea. Are they by item number or sets or sports, who know?
3. At the start of a day is one person give a list of cards needed to be pull in one area? If so the one card shipment could get done really fast if it is in that area.
4. We do know that E-Bay, cards for grading and rush orders get pulled before the $4.99 orders (big or small)
5. How can my order get shipped the same day when there are 67,000 cards ahead of me?

We have no idea, and they will not tell us. So we just wait.
