Idk, I was also told to use only one "and" at the end when grouping words together with commas. Example: The boy went to the park, zoo, store, and the angels game.

Again as I said above. Would you let a fantasy manager drop all the players they didn’t need anymore? Of course not. Every other team would be mad

Angels can afford to bench and pay for the rest of the year
There’s 5 Angels players who will now be in the major leagues playing in September instead of sitting at home once the minor league season ends.

I agree, they should change the rules to not allow this. I don’t like it, but it makes sense for the Angels.

The tweet uses correct grammar since they are listing the players in groups (relievers, outfielders, etc). Group 1, Group 2, and Group 3. Each group consists of name and name.

Id assume most teams in playoff contention wouldn’t mind taking a shot on an overnight rental of Giolito
Lopez, renfroe and Moore should have decent interest too
I don’t know all the rules regarding waiver pickups but this should be interesting

This is great for those players, the teams that acquire them, and anyone who collects them.

Hard being an Angels fan, though

Of course it does. Hence the name of the title

Does waivers go by record regardless of nl vs al? If so, Marlins and Reds have first dibs, then SF, Bos/Min/Ari/Chc

REALLY????

I'm in a $100 Yahoo Pro League. Everyone of these guys is available. If you're depending on anyone of these guys for a playoff run. Good Luck. They couldn't do it for the Angels, why would they be able for anybody else?

Reynaldo Lopez is very good. His stats have been very good the last 2 months and was very good for the angels. Will be a very good bullpen add for any team, same for Matt Moore.

But, we have seen this before - a situation where the eventual World Series champion won with the help of players they got for "free." In 2021 Atlanta got Eddie Rosario and Adam Duvall from the Indians and Marlins.

This was the funny one: The Braves trade Pablo Sandoval* to Cleveland for Eddie Rosario and cash.

*Pablo Sandoval was insta-cut

Duvall was acquired for... Alex Jackson. To be fair, Alex did catch in 42 games for the Marlins the rest of that season... and hit .157 striking out in half of his 163 plate appearances.

In the playoffs, Duvall had 3 HR and 10 RBI.

Rosario had 11 R scored and was the NLCS MVP with 3 HR, a 2B, a 3B, .560 avg and 9 RBI.
What? This is nothing like the Braves picking up 4 outfielder at the trade deadline right after Ronald went down with a season ending injury and featured the likes of Heredia, Almonte, and Arcia playing left field.

Eddie Rosario was terrible with the Indians and was injured when the trade occurred and missed a month.

Traded deadline deals are nothing like passing guys through waivers.

Yes I am Serious.

Save 7 million.

Why not let a guys like Jo Adell, Nolan
Schanuel, or Jordyn
Adams play.

They took a run and it didn't work. Hats off for trying. Now rebuild.

Ohtani needs to get out from this organization even if they offer him more than any other team.

LOL you really think Arte saves $7 million this year and puts it aside to make sure he re-invests an extra $7 million in the roster next year?

It's not hats off for trying. The acquisitions were terrible. The problem is they traded for a bunch of mediocre guys in the first place. Why trade for a bunch of bums? Grichuk actually has negative WAR over his last 900 PAs.

*Shocked* that this cast of characters didn't perform well.

The Rockies should grab Giolito and Lopez. Both those guys are better than any pitcher they have currently in the bigs.

Only one of those players listed is any good. None of them are real difference makers. Wish they could dump Rendon in the process. His one highlight on the Angels is when he grabbed a fan. Dude is worthless.

Personally, I like the move. Clear some salary to re-sign Ohtani then go after some proven vets and worthwhile bullpen arms in the off-season.

The move puts the team under the luxury tax, dont need to waste a year over the tax if youre going to be completely crap.

I guess this is wrong now. Even though that came from like the first MLB link when googled. Guess with the new CBA it's across the board

All of them could help out a playoff team. Its not are they the best player on the team, its are they better than the 25th guy on the team.
