My access was fixed yesterday. If the Government actually did their job, there wouldn't have been an issue yesterday considering they already had the security memo stating we were extended. If they did their job, they would have used that memo to extend everyone instead of allowing them to expire in the first place.

His dentist appointment is more important than baseball practice; especially since he needs his cleaning completed to start his braces process.

Not to mention, both of these were scheduled and/or purchased tickets at least 6 months ago prior to him ever wanting to play fall baseball or any kind of schedule coming out for it.

We have day 1 of football evaluations today. 12U only has 18 kids scheduled to attend, so it should go pretty fast. The draft on the other hand will take a while. These coaches act like they are picking NFL teams.

We do it for 10U and 12U. We do drafts for every sport, coaches draft their teams in any leagues where we keep score. Baseball and Softball, we do 10U and 12U drafts, basketball we do 10U, 12U 16U and Girls 12U draft, football we do 10U and 12U drafts. That way when parents and coaches complain about their teams not being good, we can let them know we didn't pick the teams.

This seems so dystopian.

Probably how the soccer league does it for my kids too, I just never cared enough to find out.

The main reason we had to go to drafts for everybody was coaches telling parents to make request that they needed to be on their team for transportation reasons. That's how they would stack teams. Since I've been here, we honor no request for team placement, it is up to the coach to pick the kids if they have to be on a certain team. I hear it from parents every year that they didn't get on the right team. At the pre-evaluation parents meeting tonight, I'll make sure to stress that requests for teams aren't honored and if the coach doesn't pick the kid I don't want to hear them saying their kid is on the wrong team.

Every team practices at the same facility now, so transportation isn't an excuse anymore. They can still ride together, then go to their field for practice.

My level of understanding of the intricacies of evaluating and drafting 12u kids is probably equivalent to your understanding of the intricacies of how kids are made.

Most 12U kids play school ball, we usually only have the ones that aren't good at 12.

Sports are a big deal here, the high school team made the state semi-finals 2 seasons ago and the coach retired because he felt like that wasn't good enough. New coach struggled last year, but this year's team has the looks of a power. Sophomore WR already has 10+ D1 offers, sophomore QB has football and basketball offers, freshman LB had Alabama coaches on campus looking at him.
