My guess is something to do with a phone app.

Green would be a great choice.

I let my membership run out. Until they get to $10 I am holding out.

Maybe they are being bought by Fanatics.

I do wonder if the news is related to "pop report maintenance" on the gemrate data for the past two months.

Maybe they bought SGC. On CSG instagram they posted some black-background images with white text on top, almost identical to what SGC does...

I'm betting they will be offering autograph authentication as that is something that would help separate them from SGC.

I still can't believe that you have to be a member to be able to sub cards. Does the the membership price actually pay for itself given the grading credit that you get??

You would be silly to not be a premium member if you use CSG. They have $50 discount codes all the time. For $99 you get a free submission kit they mail you with card savers and you get $150 credit to submit. If you go elite you need submit a lot to pay for that level. If you decide to go elite, get the premium first and then get elite for a discount that they will give you.

Are the coupons invite only? I never received an email with a coupon before. In the 5 months I have been elite

The above discount code has been active forever for new members. Won't work if you have to renew though.

So this answers is yes.

CGC and CSG are combining under cgc cards. This is going to ruffle a lot of feathers.

Coming from the sport card side, I do like the fact if I grade a Star Wars card it will get the same label as sports cards. Not a big fan of the old label. Having everything in one pop report/registry is a great thing as well.

If you are coming from the TCG/Comic side, you are likely going to hate this. Marvel graded cards aren't going to match the comics. And the big whammy - no more subgrades for TCG side of things.

This will be the 3rd label change for sportscards in three years. Even though this one is much more subtle. They need to stop and keep one going forward. I can't help but think the sportscards side was not keeping up and was having trouble standing on its own. Merging is probably saving costs on the back end.

Somewhere - Grade is laughing - he predicted that CGC will eventually swallow the sports cards side.

Hilarious to see them kick all the CGC fans in the nuts.

It is a very smart move for the long-term and probably why they never updated the pop report. Also, had they gone with the blue label of CSG, I would not have submitted to them. I never submitted a TCG card because the label did not appeal to me. Now all under one umbrella!!!

If you thinking about getting a CSG membership would you get a premium one now for $99 with this code, or would you wait until CGC Cards officially launches next month?

yeah that's what I am thinking, this whole change over is odd. Who would not want their cards to be in new slab???? Sucks for those with orders in the queue where it is too late in the process to be held until next month. I still have some 9.5's with their original label that I will probably re-holder.

It wouldn't bother me if they just adopted the current CGC flip for everything, except no gold font for pristine.

this subtle change for sports wont have me sending in any CSG black label stuff for the change. Ill just have both.

Yep, I've got a couple of green label pristines that I considered sending in for a shot at Perfect 10 but never did. The new label pristines look nice.

Also glad to see it looks like they are going way wider with non-sports

I am thinking the same thing. What I have now in CSG slabs aren't a big enough difference with CGC slabs that triggers OCD. I have multiple "old green" SGC labels the same way. Good idea on sending in a green pristine, I have one I think.

I am more inclined to send them Star Wars cards now that they will match my sports cards.
