And did you all notice BB86’s comics on the top shelf - including Spidey #1, and his obvious pride of ownership with his Wax / how neatly and with purpose everything is displayed?

Thanks cards!

The buyer was really happy with the condition of my boxes and I showed him how I stored them in plastic totes.

He did reject one blaster box of 2017 topps chrome baseball because of corner damage (I dropped it on my kitchen floor) That's okay, I'm going to bust it later.

It was really interesting talking with him (he spent 5 hours at my house). We talked about how surprisingly, some early to mid 2000 era boxes are actually VERY difficult to find and had limited print runs.

Are you the member who’s currently working on building a replica card shop from their youth? I can’t remember who it was but it has served as an inspiration to some of my recent, very modest, purchases.

If it wasn’t you, then whoever that member is I’d love an update on how the project is progressing!

I've never seen that fleer legacy box.

Cool that you saved it from the fire sale!

Well you have an awesome collection! Since you brought up busting that 2017 Topps Chrome you’re now obligated to share the results with us haha

Blackbears - Kudos for the incredible collection! If you are able to say, does the buyer intend to keep things sealed as well or bust everything open?

Nada … just those boxes. I don’t have any other sealed wax. Everything else is loose singles

The buyer was/is a well known seller in the US. I'm not sure if I can say who it was on these boards.

Default Let’s see one of your INVESTMENT Wax Boxes - I’ll start....

I wish I had the commitment to keep boxes sealed…. these 2018 and 2019 boxes are starting to call to me. They won’t hold too much long-term value, I should open them. Right? Right?

A lot of your boxes are new, so several players have yet to prove themselves.

If your buy in was minimal, I'd hold.

If you are thinking of busting the 2018 update, your replacement cost is about $475-500. Personally, I did NOT sell any 2018 product with my recent sale (except for 1 box of big league) because I think Ohtani/Soto/Acuna still have room to grow.

edit: oops cards, not for you, but for the poster of the small collection of recent boxes.

Hard to tell in the pic, but I'd love to know what that case of football is on the right bottom side of the pic.
